GTA 6 pre-orders have been one of the biggest questions around Grand Theft Auto VI since Rockstar confirmed the game’s current release window. With hype already reaching unhealthy “refreshing the store page at midnight” levels, players finally have a clear date for when they can reserve Rockstar’s next major release.
Rockstar Games has now confirmed the full GTA VI pre-order rollout, including the start time, available platforms, edition pricing, and early purchase bonuses. That gives players a much clearer picture of what to expect before Grand Theft Auto VI launches later this year.
When Can You Preorder GTA 6?
GTA 6 pre-orders start on June 25, 2026, at midnight local time.
That means players will not have to wait for a single global unlock time. Once the clock hits midnight in your local region, pre-orders should begin going live through supported storefronts and retailers.
Grand Theft Auto VI will be available to pre-order for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar has not announced a PC version for launch, so PC players still do not have a confirmed pre-order window.
There is no official GTA 6 Early Access right now, so treat any paid early download offer as a scam.
Where Can You Preorder GTA 6?
Rockstar says Grand Theft Auto VI will be available through the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Rockstar Games Store, and global retailers.
That gives players a few different ways to reserve the game, depending on whether they want a digital copy or the boxed version. The important catch is that the physical version does not include a traditional disc. Instead, Rockstar says the box will contain a download code.
That is probably going to be a sore spot for collectors. A box with a code inside is technically physical, but let’s not pretend it scratches the same itch as a real disc on the shelf.
What GTA 6 Editions Are Available for Pre-Order?
Rockstar has confirmed two main versions of Grand Theft Auto VI.
The standard edition costs $79.99 and includes the main single-player GTA 6 experience. The Grand Theft Auto VI: Ultimate Edition costs $99.99 and includes extra digital content tied to Jason and Lucia’s story.
The Ultimate Edition includes premium vehicles, weapons, apparel, and other in-game bonuses. Rockstar has not framed it as required content, so players who only want the base game can stick with the standard edition.
What Is the GTA 6 Pre-Order Bonus?
All Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders, along with purchases made before November 20, 2026, include the Vintage Vice City Pack.
The bonus pack includes retro-themed items inspired by Vice City, including a classic vehicle, garage, outfits, hairstyles, and a weapon skin. Digital pre-orders also include one free month of GTA+, Rockstar’s paid membership service.
The bonus is a nice extra, but it does not sound like something players need to panic-buy over. If you already planned to get GTA 6 at launch, it is worth grabbing. If not, the pre-order bonus alone probably is not worth making your wallet tap out early.
When Does GTA 6 Come Out?
Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to release on November 19, 2026, for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Players who pre-order the digital version can begin pre-loading the game on November 12, 2026. Rockstar also says the boxed version will be available starting November 12 to support pre-loading through the download code included inside the case.
Should You Preorder GTA 6?
GTA 6 is one of the safest bets in gaming from a demand standpoint, but pre-ordering still comes down to how certain you are. If you know you are buying Grand Theft Auto VI on day one, pre-ordering gives you the early bonus and lets you preload before launch.
If you are waiting on reviews, performance details, or more footage, there is no shame in holding off. Rockstar has the hype machine running at full blast already. You do not need to throw your wallet into traffic just because the internet is yelling.
Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders open soon, and Rockstar’s rollout is finally starting to look real after years of rumors, delays, and fan theories.
