Dead by Daylight: Terrifier entered the Steam Public Test Build (PTB) on Oct. 28, 2026, giving players their first chance to experience the upcoming horror crossover before its full release on Nov. 24.
Behaviour Interactive’s latest chapter brings two familiar faces from the Terrifier films into The Entity’s Trials. However, the collaboration goes beyond adding another recognizable horror villain to the roster. It introduces new gameplay mechanics, character perks and a location that fans have wanted to explore for years.
Art the Clown Brings His Bag of Toys
Art the Clown joins Dead by Daylight as a new Killer known as The Terrifier. His unique Power, Bag of Toys, gives him access to a random selection of weapons, including:
- Flail
- Flamethrower
- Handgun
- Acid Bottle
- Bike Horn
Each toy offers a different way to pressure Survivors. Furthermore, successful attacks increase a weapon’s Deadliness, eventually allowing Art to down injured Survivors.
Each weapon also features a unique Mini-Mori execution.
Art receives three character-specific perks. Funny Business provides a temporary speed boost and a random effect after damaging a Generator. Meanwhile, Laughingstock applies Exhausted and Oblivious to Survivors near completed Generators.
His third perk, Kill Spree, allows Art to kill remaining Survivors once all Generators are complete and every remaining Survivor has reached two Hook States.
Art also introduces something new for Killers: emotes, letting him taunt Survivors during Trials.
Sienna Shaw Joins as a Survivor

Sienna Shaw arrives alongside Art, bringing three perks focused on survival and supporting teammates.
Best Gift Ever lets Sienna sacrifice items for different passive bonuses. Meanwhile, Shared Trauma helps nearby Survivors recover from Exhausted while running after she takes a protection hit.
Her final perk, Valkyrie’s Rage, increases the duration of a pallet stun after she spends enough time in a chase.
Together, these abilities provide defensive and team-oriented options for players facing the new Killer.
The Hartshorne Mall Map Arrives

The chapter also introduces Hartshorne Mall, an original map featuring abandoned storefronts and unsettling corridors.
Rather than recreating a location from the Terrifier films, Behaviour designed the mall around the eerie familiarity of deserted shopping spaces.
Additionally, the map contains lore connected to Survivor Dwight Fairfield and his childhood encounter with The Entity.
When Does The Terrifier in Dead by Daylight Release?

Dead by Daylight: Terrifier launches Nov. 24, 2026, across the game’s supported platforms.
For now, players can test the new content through Steam’s Public Test Build. However, Behaviour may adjust character abilities and balance before the official release.
Players looking for exact ability values and additional changes can read the official Terrifier PTB patch notes.
