Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.5 arrives Oct. 22, 2026, offering another reason to return to Night City. CD Projekt Red’s latest free update expands the game’s combat and customization options while introducing new activities for players to discover.
However, the changes go beyond fresh content. Returning players will also find quality-of-life improvements, technical upgrades and fixes that address problems across several platforms.
With new features and adjustments arriving together, there’s plenty to explore for players starting another adventure or continuing an existing save. Here’s a closer look at the biggest changes and when the update becomes available on each platform.
What’s New in Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.5?
One of the biggest additions is dual-wielding pistols and revolvers.
Players can unlock the new combat style through the Double Trouble perk in the Cool skill tree. Additionally, four supporting perks expand the mechanic for Power pistols and revolvers.
The update also introduces Glamdocs, specialists who customize hand cyberware.
Five Glamdocs appear throughout Night City, offering new looks for Mantis Blades, Gorilla Arms, Monowire and the Projectile Launch System.
New Edgerunners Content and Quests
Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.5 introduces Clampdown, a new side quest connected to Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2.
To unlock the quest, players must:
- Complete The Heist.
- Finish two gigs for Wakako.
- Wait for Wakako to contact V.
The quest also offers a five-piece gear set inspired by King.
Meanwhile, the new HKGN 102.0 FM radio station features music from the Edgerunners series.
Another quest, Welcome to Paradise!, becomes available after The Heist once players reach Street Cred level 15.
Players can also discover 12 new Minor Arcana Tarot Cards throughout Night City.

More Customization and Collectibles
Players can also unlock new clothing, hairstyles and Photo Mode options. The update adds four TWINTONE vehicle skins through Twitch Drops, alongside trading-card frames and poses for Photo Mode.
Additionally, collecting the 12 new Minor Arcana Tarot Cards leads to another quest and a special reward.
Console Mods and Other Improvements
Perhaps the biggest technical addition is cross-platform mod support through mod.io.
Players can browse and install selected community mods directly from the game. The feature supports PC, Mac, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2.
However, console players cannot earn trophies or achievements while using modded saves.
Other improvements include:
- Save files organized by playthrough.
- A field-of-view slider on consoles.
- New clothing collections and hairstyles.
- DLSS 4.5 support and performance improvements.
- Item filters for apartment and vehicle stashes.
Bug Fixes and Performance Improvements
The patch addresses several problems, including a quest progression bug involving Delamain and a Nintendo Switch 2 save error.
CD Projekt Red also improved HDR rendering and ray-tracing performance. Meanwhile, the updated AMD FSR options remove FSR 3 upscaling but retain FSR 3.1 Frame Generation.
When Does Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.5 Release?
CD Projekt Red will release the update on Oct. 22 for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Mac through Steam, GOG and Epic Games Store.
Nintendo Switch 2 and Mac App Store players will receive the update in the following days.
The developer has not announced exact release dates for those versions.
