When Will GTA 6 Come to PC?

Rockstar has confirmed GTA 6 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, but PC players are still waiting for their version.

When will GTA 6 come to PC is already one of the biggest questions around Grand Theft Auto VI, especially for players who prefer mods, higher frame rates, ultrawide setups, and the general chaos of turning every Rockstar game into a screenshot machine. Console players now have a confirmed launch date, but PC fans are still stuck waiting for Rockstar to say the quiet part out loud.

Rockstar has shared plenty of details for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of Grand Theft Auto VI. The PC version, however, is still missing from the current launch plan.

Has Rockstar Confirmed GTA 6 for PC?

Rockstar has not announced a GTA 6 PC release date yet.

Grand Theft Auto VI is currently scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar’s current pre-order announcement does not list PC as a launch platform.

That does not mean GTA 6 will never come to PC. It only means Rockstar has not confirmed when the PC version will arrive.

Will GTA 6 Be on PC at Launch?

GTA 6 is not currently confirmed for PC at launch.

Based on Rockstar’s current rollout, the November 19 release is only for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. PC players do not have a pre-order date, release date, edition list, or preload window yet.

That is frustrating, but it is not exactly shocking. Rockstar has often launched its biggest games on console first, then brought the PC version later.

When Could GTA 6 Come to PC?

There is no official date, but a PC release sometime after the console launch feels likely.

GTA 5 first launched on PS3 and Xbox 360 in September 2013, then arrived on PC in April 2015. Red Dead Redemption 2 launched on PS4 and Xbox One in October 2018, then came to PC in November 2019.

Using those older releases as a loose guide, GTA 6 PC could arrive months after the console version rather than day one. Still, that is only a pattern, not a promise. Rockstar can always change its release strategy, especially with a game this massive.

Can You Preorder GTA 6 on PC?

No, players cannot currently preorder GTA 6 on PC.

Rockstar has only confirmed pre-orders for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions. If a store page, reseller, or random website claims to offer a GTA 6 PC pre-order before Rockstar announces it, treat it like a side mission from a very suspicious man in an alley.

Wait for Rockstar, Steam, Epic Games Store, or the Rockstar Games Store to officially list the PC version before spending anything.

Why Is GTA 6 Not Coming to PC First?

Rockstar has not explained why GTA 6 is launching on consoles first, but there are a few obvious possibilities.

A PC version has to work across a much wider range of hardware, settings, drivers, and performance targets. Rockstar may also want to focus launch support on two console ecosystems before handling the extra headaches that come with PC.

There is also the business side. GTA 5 sold across multiple generations and platforms, and Rockstar knows how to stagger releases without losing demand. Painful? Yes. Surprising? Not even a little.

Should PC Players Wait for GTA 6?

PC players should wait if PC is their preferred platform, especially if they care about mods, graphics settings, mouse and keyboard support, or long-term flexibility.

Buying the console version first makes sense only if you want to play GTA 6 at launch and do not mind possibly double-dipping later. Rockstar has trained players well on that part, and yes, our wallets remember.

For now, the safest answer is simple: GTA 6 is launching first on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, while the PC version remains unannounced. We will update this guide when Rockstar confirms more.
