The latest announcements provide a clear launch plan for consoles. However, they leave several questions unanswered about a possible PC version, including its release timing, storefronts, and system requirements.
Is GTA 6 Going to Be on PC?
Rockstar has not officially announced GTA 6 for PC.
The company currently lists Grand Theft Auto VI for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Those versions launch on November 19, 2026.
Rockstar has not announced a PC edition, release date, preorder window, preload date, or system requirements. The official GTA 6 site also leaves PC out of its current platform list.
A later PC version remains plausible because Rockstar has brought several major releases to computers after their console debuts. Still, that history does not count as confirmation.
When Does GTA 6 Come Out on PC?

The November 19, 2026 launch only applies to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. PC players should not treat that as a universal release date.

Could GTA 6 Come to PC Later?
A later GTA 6 PC release would follow Rockstar’s previous launch patterns.
Grand Theft Auto V originally reached consoles in September 2013. The PC version followed in April 2015.
Red Dead Redemption 2 launched on PS4 and Xbox One in October 2018. Rockstar released the PC version in November 2019.
Those examples show that Rockstar has delayed major PC ports before. However, they cannot tell us how long GTA 6 players will wait. Rockstar may use a different schedule this time.
Will GTA 6 Come to PC in 2027?
Rockstar has not announced GTA 6 for PC in 2027.
A 2027 release is possible, but current estimates rely on Rockstar’s older release patterns rather than official information. The studio could launch the PC version earlier or keep players waiting longer.

Can You Preorder GTA 6 on PC?
No, GTA 6 PC preorders are not available.
Rockstar opened preorders for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on June 25, 2026. The company did not include a PC edition in that rollout.
Avoid any website claiming to sell an official GTA 6 PC preorder before Rockstar announces the version. A convincing checkout page does not make an unannounced game legitimate.
The safest approach is to wait for Rockstar or a recognized PC storefront to publish an official product page.
Will GTA 6 Be on Steam or the Epic Games Store?
Rockstar has not confirmed any GTA 6 PC storefronts.
There are currently no official GTA 6 listings for Steam or the Epic Games Store. Rockstar also has not announced a PC edition through the Rockstar Games Launcher.
The company could eventually release GTA 6 through one or several of those stores. Red Dead Redemption 2 first arrived through the Rockstar Games Launcher and other PC stores before reaching Steam one month later.
That release strategy does not guarantee GTA 6 will follow the same path.
Why Is GTA 6 Not Coming to PC at Launch?
Rockstar has not explained why GTA 6 lacks a confirmed PC launch version.
PC development may require additional optimization across a much wider range of processors, graphics cards, memory configurations, drivers, and display options. Rockstar may also want to focus its launch support on two console families before expanding.
Those are reasonable possibilities, but they are not official explanations.
Rockstar also has a history of staggering platform releases. GTA V sold across several console generations before and after its PC launch, so the company knows that many players will buy the game more than once.

What Are the Requirements?
Rockstar has not released GTA 6 minimum or recommended PC requirements.
Any specifications circulating online are predictions. The company has not confirmed the required processor, graphics card, memory, storage, operating system, or DirectX version.
The game’s trailers show dense traffic, detailed lighting, large crowds, wildlife, water effects, and several regions across Leonida. Those features suggest GTA 6 will demand capable hardware, but they do not reveal exact requirements.
PC players should avoid upgrading solely around unofficial specification lists.
Should PC Players Wait for GTA 6?
Waiting makes sense if PC is your preferred platform.
A PC release could offer higher frame rates, broader graphics settings, ultrawide support, mouse and keyboard controls, and eventual modding. None of those GTA 6 features have been confirmed yet, but they are common reasons players choose PC.
