Autosaves Increased From Five to 10
Update 1.0.6 doubles the number of available autosaves from five to 10.
The expanded history gives players more opportunities to return to an earlier point if a mission, purchase, or exploration decision does not go as planned. It may also help players recover from progression problems without relying on a much older manual save.
All Bug Fixes in Update 1.0.6
Ubisoft listed the following general fixes:
- Increased the number of autosaves from five to 10.
- Fixed a PC issue that could lock cutscenes to 30 FPS after changing custom graphics settings from a Low preset.
- Added the missing tutorial explaining how to throw money.
- Fixed DLC Pack notifications appearing at the beginning of a new game.
- Fixed Edward sliding after fast traveling to a synchronized viewpoint while sprinting and jumping down.
- Fixed a mouse and keyboard issue that could mark or unmark a quest while selecting the Quest tab.
- Fixed missing confirmation messages after purchasing Resource Packs.
- Fixed an issue preventing parkour while holding RT after remapping RT to sprint.
- Fixed minor crashes during ground and naval combat.
- Fixed Edward’s hood toggle during a Leap of Faith.
The update does not introduce new missions or major balance changes. Its focus is quality-of-life improvements, stability, and several smaller problems affecting movement and menus.
The Blowpipe Can Now Be Hidden
The main addition in update 1.0.6 is a new option for hiding the Blowpipe from Edward’s back.
Players can open Edward’s outfit through the inventory and use the new Hide Gear option. The same menu can restore the Blowpipe later by selecting Show Gear.
This is a visual setting only. Hiding the weapon does not remove it from Edward’s inventory or prevent players from using Sleep Darts and Berserk Darts.
Patch 1.0.6 arrives August 4 at 7:00 am PST. Players should install the patch before looking for the new Hide Gear option in Edward’s outfit menu.
