NBA 2K27 launches worldwide on September 4, 2026. However, Deluxe and Ultra Edition owners can begin playing up to seven days early on August 28 at 9 a.m. PT.
What Comes with the NBA 2K27 Standard Edition?
The NBA 2K27 Standard Edition costs $69.99 and features San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama on the cover.
It includes the base game but does not provide early access, bonus MyCAREER items, MyTEAM packs, or built-in VC. However, players who preorder Standard will receive 10,000 VC.
The Standard Edition will be available on:
- PS5, physically and digitally
- Xbox Series X|S, physically and digitally
- PC through Steam, digitally
- Nintendo Switch 2, physically
Nintendo Switch 2 preorders are limited to physical copies. In addition, 2K has not announced Deluxe or Ultra Editions for the platform.
Standard is the best fit for players who only want the base game. It also makes sense for Play Now and MyNBA players who do not need a large VC balance.
What Comes with the NBA 2K27 Deluxe Edition?
The NBA 2K27 Deluxe Edition costs $99.99 and features Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark on its cover.
Deluxe includes 100,000 VC. In addition, preorders receive another 10,000 VC, bringing the total to 110,000 VC.
It also unlocks NBA 2K27 on August 28, up to seven days before the worldwide release.
Deluxe Edition MyCAREER Bonuses
The MyCAREER package includes:
- 25 of each of the six Skill Boost types
- 25 of each of the three Gatorade Boost types
- Two-hour double XP coin
- Victor Wembanyama jersey
- Caitlin Clark jersey
Deluxe Edition MyTEAM Bonuses
The MyTEAM package includes:
- Full NBA 2K27 Series 1 team selection
- Triple Threat Park Free Agent Pack
- Five NBA 2K27 Series 1 packs

All MyTEAM cards and packs included with the edition are unauctionable. Therefore, players cannot sell them through the MyTEAM Auction House. costs $30 more than Standard but adds 100,000 VC, mode-specific rewards, and early access.
The Deluxe Edition is digital-only and available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. It will not be sold in Belgium, South Korea, or Brazil.
What Comes with the NBA 2K27 Ultra Edition?
The limited-time NBA 2K27 Ultra Edition costs $149.99 and features Chicago Bulls legend Derrick Rose.
Ultra includes all Deluxe Edition content. However, it raises the included VC total from 100,000 to 135,000. Preordering adds another 10,000 VC for a total of 145,000 VC.
It also includes early access starting on August 28.
Additional Ultra Edition Bonuses
Ultra adds the following content:
- Season 1 Pro Pass
- Pro Passes for Seasons 7, 8, and 9
- Roses Oversize Hoodie for MyCAREER
- Guaranteed 98 OVR MyTEAM card in December 2026
- Guaranteed Invincible MyTEAM card in May 2027
The Seasons 7 through 9 passes will arrive during summer 2027. As a result, players will not receive all Ultra Edition content at launch.
The two guaranteed MyTEAM cards will be delivered through The Exchange. Like the other included cards and packs, they are unauctionable.
Ultra is digital-only and available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. However, 2K will stop selling the edition after September 6, 2026. It is also unavailable in Belgium, South Korea, and Brazil.

Every NBA 2K27 preorder placed before September 4 includes 10,000 VC.
However, digital Deluxe and Ultra purchases made before August 17, 2026, at 10 a.m. PT qualify for two additional bonus packs.

The NBA 2K26 rewards require access to NBA 2K26. Players will also need an internet connection and an NBA 2K account to redeem and use the bonus content.
Can NBA 2K26 Players Get a Discount?
NBA 2K26 players may qualify for a 10% discount on the digital NBA 2K27 Ultra Edition.
However, the qualification rules depend on the platform:
- Steam players must own NBA 2K26 on the same Steam account.
- PS5 and Xbox Series X|S players qualify by playing NBA 2K26 through the same platform account.
The offer runs through September 3, 2026. It is limited to one purchase per platform account, and regional restrictions may apply.
Which NBA 2K27 Edition Should You Buy?
The Deluxe Edition is the best NBA 2K27 edition for most regular MyCAREER and MyTEAM players.
It costs $30 more than Standard but includes 100,000 VC, early access, Skill Boosts, Gatorade Boosts, and several MyTEAM rewards. Preordering also raises the VC total to 110,000.
Choose the Standard Edition if you only want the game. It is also the only choice currently available to Nintendo Switch 2 players.
Meanwhile, Ultra makes sense for dedicated players who plan to use the included Pro Passes. It also offers exclusive MyCAREER clothing and two future MyTEAM cards. However, it costs $50 more than Deluxe while adding only 35,000 more VC at launch.
The NBA 2K26 loyalty discount makes Ultra more competitive. Still, much of its added value comes from content that will arrive months after release.
NBA 2K27 launches on September 4 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. Deluxe and Ultra Edition owners can start playing on August 28.
