The Haunted Floating Festival 2026 returns to Disney Dreamlight Valley from Oct. 7 through Oct. 31, bringing familiar Halloween puzzles and new mysteries inspired by Disney’s Haunted Mansion attraction.
This year’s event features nine puzzles, including returning challenges from 2025 and several new additions. Most are available immediately, while the final puzzle unlocks Oct. 18.
Here’s how to complete the festival puzzles, find the required items, and collect their rewards before the event ends.
How to Start the Haunted Floating Festival
To enter the Haunted Floating Festival, travel to the Plaza and look for the mysterious portal surrounded by bats.
Interact with the portal to reach the temporary Floating Island. Alternatively, open the Event tab and select Teleport under The Haunted Floating Festival.
Once you arrive, explore the island to find the different puzzles. Some require collecting items around the festival grounds, while others send you back to your Valley.
You can leave using the Wishing Well or your map.
All Haunted Floating Festival Puzzles and Rewards
There are nine puzzles in the 2026 event, with the final challenge becoming available Oct. 18.

The first five puzzles return from the previous festival. The remaining challenges introduce additional mysteries inside and around the Haunted Mansion.
Puzzle 1: How to Complete Ghostly Critter
Find the Ghostly Zero Fox roaming the festival grounds.
Collect a Haunted Skeleton Fish from the area around Zero’s House and feed it to the fox. You’ll receive a Memory Shard.
- Start at the Wishing Well in the center of the Haunted Floating Festival island.
- Find the two stone fountains with green water.
- Walk between them and follow the wooden boardwalk toward the Halloween Town Hall building with the bluish-purple roof.
- When you reach that building, turn left and follow the path around it.
- Look behind the building for Zero’s little gravestone. That’s the location you need.
However, you can only earn one shard from feeding the fox each day. You’ll need to repeat this process across four separate days to complete the memory.
Once the picture is complete, follow its clue to the hearse outside the Haunted Mansion and dig at the indicated spot.
You’ll receive the Clawed Foot Tub.
Puzzle 2: Combination Pillar Solution
The Combination Pillar is located behind the Haunted Mansion.
Four numbered positions require matching symbols. The clues are scattered around the festival grounds, with nearby pumpkins indicating the correct order.
Set the symbols as follows:

Once the symbols are correct, claim your Haunted Festival Dress reward.
Puzzle 3: Terror-rific Tree Solution
The Terror-rific Tree requires three different resources found around the festival island.

Interact with the tree and deposit the required materials.
The items respawn over time, so you may need to make several trips if you cannot collect enough immediately.
Completing the puzzle awards the Terror-rific Tree furniture item.
Dreamlight Valley Haunted Floating Festival Puzzle 4 Solution
Enter the Potion Brewer’s House and examine the recipe book on the back bench.
The recipe describes four ingredients without naming them directly.

The Catfish and Swordfish require fishing in their respective Valley biomes.
Once you’ve collected everything, return to the house and place the ingredients in the cauldron.
You’ll receive the Black Cauldron furniture reward.
Puzzle 5: Haunted Armor Armor Quiz
Head inside the big house and interact with the talking suit of armor.
It asks four questions about the festival island.

Answer all four correctly to receive the Haunted Armor decoration.
Puzzles 6-8: Haunted Mansion Mysteries
The remaining puzzles take place inside the tall, decorated Purple House and involve several connected objectives.
Puzzle 6: Release the Curse
Start by exploring the mansion and collecting two Haunted Key Fragments.
You’ll need to investigate the fox, examine the statues, open chests, and light four Jack-o’-Lanterns.
Combine the fragments at the crafting station to create a Repaired Haunted Key and unlock the bedroom.
Once you’ve completed the library puzzle, use its clues to solve the bedroom combination and recover the Lost Magic Page.

Return the page to the Grimoire to earn the Decorative Magic Seal.
Puzzle 7: Haunted Library
After unlocking the bedroom, you’ll find four books that need to be returned to their correct shelves.
Each book leads you toward another room in the mansion.
Once all four books have been returned, complete the Memory Orb puzzle that appears.
Your reward is the Chomping Chest.
Puzzle 8: Secret Basement
There’s another hidden reward beneath the mansion.
After unlocking the bedroom, look for a lion statue holding a key in its mouth.
Destroy the statue with your Royal Pickaxe and collect the Eerie Basement Door Key.
Head outside, find the basement entrance beside the mansion, and unlock it.
Open the chest inside to obtain the Eerie Basement Door furniture item.
Puzzle 9: Ghost Hunt
The final Haunted Floating Festival puzzle unlocks Oct. 18, 2026.
Gameloft has confirmed that players will need to find 10 ghosts scattered around the festival grounds.
Photograph each ghost with your camera to make it disappear. Finding all 10 unlocks a new furniture reward.

When Does the Haunted Floating Festival End?
The Haunted Floating Festival ends Oct. 31, 2026.
Because the Ghostly Critter puzzle requires four separate days, it’s worth starting that challenge early rather than leaving everything until Halloween.
