The Disney Dreamlight Valley Trick or Treat 2026 event runs from Oct. 14 through Oct. 31, bringing Halloween candy, returning achievements, and new Halloween Town decorations to the Valley. This year, players can also collect candy directly from participating villagers by visiting their houses.
There are six houses offering treats, alongside the usual Candy Bowls scattered throughout the Plaza. You’ll need plenty of red, green, and purple candy to unlock and craft the new decorations.
How to Trick-or-Treat in Disney Dreamlight Valley

The biggest addition to the 2026 event is the ability to go door to door for candy.
Six villagers are participating:
- Mickey Mouse
- WALL-E
- Daisy Duck
- Stitch
- Mike Wazowski
- Jack Skellington
Visit their houses and look for a lit jack-o’-lantern outside. Interact with it to start the Trick or Treat interaction and receive five pieces of each candy color.
That means every house provides 15 pieces of candy, giving you up to 90 pieces if you visit all six houses in one day.
You can visit each house once per day. The jack-o’-lantern becomes available again after the daily reset.
Where to Find Halloween Candy Bowls

Candy Bowls also appear throughout the Plaza during the event. They come in three colors:
- Red Candy Bowls
- Green Candy Bowls
- Purple Candy Bowls
From Oct. 14 through Oct. 30, two bowls of each color appear every 24 hours. Each bowl contains two pieces of its corresponding candy.
On Halloween, Oct. 31, two bowls of each color appear every hour, giving players additional opportunities to stock up before the event ends.
Up to five bowls of each color can be present in the Valley at once.
All Trick or Treat 2026 Rewards

The new Sweet ‘n’ Scary and Scarily Sweet duties reward players for completing Trick or Treat interactions at participating houses.
You can unlock six Halloween Town crafting recipes by reaching the following milestones:
| Trick or Treat Visits | Reward | Candy Required to Craft |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Halloween Town Fence | 1 of each color |
| 2 | Halloween Town Small Fence | 1 of each color |
| 3 | Halloween Town Fence Corner | 1 of each color |
| 5 | Halloween Town Gravestone | 2 of each color |
| 10 | Halloween Town Graveyard Statue | 3 of each color |
| 20 | Halloween Town Mausoleum | 5 of each color |
The first three milestones belong to Sweet ‘n’ Scary, while the remaining three fall under Scarily Sweet.
These rewards unlock crafting recipes, so you’ll still need to make the decorations at a crafting station using the appropriate candy.
The milestones count total visits rather than unique houses. Since six villagers participate each day, you can reach 20 interactions across four daily resets.
Returning Halloween Achievements and Rewards

Several familiar Halloween achievements also return with the event.
| Achievement | Requirement | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Sugar Rush | Eat 15, 30, and 45 sweets | Three Jack-O’-Lantern decorations |
| Trick or Treat | Give candy to 10 villagers | Mickey Mouse Pumpkin |
| Stockpiling Pumpkins | Harvest 100 pumpkins | Pumpkin Stack |
| A 3-Course Halloween Meal! | Eat one red, green, and purple candy | Green Trick-or-Treater’s Bounty |
| Villainy Wears Many Masks | Wear a mask | Purple Trick-or-Treater’s Bounty |
You can track these achievements under the Mysteries section of the Dreamlight menu.
If you’ve already completed an achievement during a previous Halloween event, its reward may already be unlocked.
How to Unlock the Haunted Well

The Haunted Well also returns for Halloween 2026.
First, make sure you’ve unlocked the Forest of Valor. Then search the Plaza for a special red reward chest.
Open the chest and collect the Memory Shard that appears. The memory reveals a candy puzzle involving a mysterious well in the Forest of Valor.
To complete the puzzle, deposit the following candy:
- 15 Green Candy
- 10 Red Candy
- 5 Purple Candy
Once you’ve deposited the correct amounts, you’ll unlock the Haunted Well furniture item.
You’ll also receive the recipe for Mickey’s Halloween Candy Bowl through your in-game mailbox if you haven’t previously unlocked it.
When Does the Trick or Treat Event End?

The Disney Dreamlight Valley Trick or Treat event ends Oct. 31, 2026.
Make sure to complete your remaining house visits and collect enough candy for the decorations you want before Halloween ends.
If you’re looking for more seasonal activities, the Oogie Boogie event features a separate six-week questline with additional rewards, including Zero and Oogie Boogie himself.
