Let the Games Begin is the fifth weekly quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Season of Scares event, released on Oct. 21, 2026.
After everything that happened during Rescue Mission, Oogie Boogie has decided it’s time for another round of entertainment. Naturally, his definition of fun involves considerably more work for everyone else.
This walkthrough covers the fifth Oogie Boogie quest, including the minigames, important items, and final puzzle needed to complete it.
How to Start Let the Games Begin

Before starting Week 5, you must finish Rescue Mission and the earlier Oogie Boogie quests.
After completing those requirements, check your mailbox for a new letter titled Let’s Make a Deal, Shall We?
Claim the attached Lucky Wheel Cog.
You should also have five Lucky Wheel Cogs remaining from The Ghost in the Portrait, when you destroyed Oogie Boogie’s original wheel.

Take all six cogs to a crafting station and make the Genuinely Lucky Wheel under the Oogie Boogie quest recipes.
With the new wheel in your inventory, visit Scrooge McDuck’s Store and enter the Strange Mirror.
Find Oogie Boogie upstairs and give him the replacement wheel to continue.
How to Complete All Four Oogie Boogie Minigames
Oogie Boogie challenges you to complete four minigames throughout the Mirror Lair.
Each activity rewards an Oogie Boogie Tile, and you’ll need all four to finish the quest.
Genuinely Lucky Wheel

Head upstairs to the newly repaired Lucky Wheel beside Oogie Boogie.
Interact with the wheel and spin it five times.
After the fifth spin, a reward chest appears nearby. Open it to collect your first Oogie Boogie Tile.
Where to Find All Five Hidden Smiles

Five glowing green smiles are scattered around the upper level of the Mirror Lair.
You must interact with all five to earn another tile.
| Hidden Smile | Location |
|---|---|
| 1 | On the large stack of dice near the Lucky Wheel |
| 2 | On a skeleton inside the enclosure behind the dice |
| 3 | On the wall inside the Whack-a-Pumpkin area |
| 4 | Near the skeletons beside the Tile Mini-Game station |
| 5 | On the Nightmare Clock behind the Tile Mini-Game station |
The smiles can blend into the green decorations around the lair, particularly near the dice and skeletons.
Once you’ve interacted with all five, collect the Oogie Boogie Tile that appears in the enclosed area near the top of the left staircase.
Lava Pond Fishing Minigame

Return to the first floor and approach the large lava pond in the center of the Mirror Lair.
Equip your Royal Fishing Rod and cast into the bubbling fishing spots.
There are five fishing spots in the pond. Keep fishing until you catch the Oogie Boogie Tile.
Unlike the other minigames, this tile goes directly into your inventory when you catch it.
Whack-a-Pumpkin Minigame

Head back upstairs to the Whack-a-Pumpkin area.
Find the lever outside the enclosure and interact with it to begin the game.
Equip your Royal Pickaxe and break the pumpkins that appear.
You must destroy 10 pumpkins in total to complete the challenge.
If you don’t destroy enough during your first round, activate the lever again and continue until you’ve reached 10.
Once finished, collect the Oogie Boogie Tile near the entrance to the minigame area.
How to Complete the Oogie Boogie Tile Puzzle

With all four tiles collected, head to the Tile Mini-Game station on the upper floor of the Mirror Lair.
Interact with the station and place all four Oogie Boogie Tiles into their positions.
Next, equip your Royal Shovel and use it on the tiles to rotate them.
Continue rotating the individual pieces until they form the correct completed picture.
When the puzzle is solved, the Mirror Lair begins changing again.
Return to Oogie Boogie and speak with him about what’s happening, then escape through the Strange Mirror.
This completes Let the Games Begin.
Let the Games Begin Rewards

Completing the quest rewards you with the Lucky Wheel furniture item.
You’ll also finish the fifth installment of Oogie Boogie’s six-part Halloween storyline.
The final quest, Oogie Boogie’s Big Game, unlocks Oct. 28, 2026, and completing it will allow you to welcome Oogie Boogie as a permanent Villager.
