How to Make Foresty Quiche in Dreamlight Valley

This five-star Honeyglow Woods entrée combines familiar staples with ingredients gathered across the forest.

Foresty Quiche in Dreamlight Valley is a five-star entrée added with the Honeyglow Woods Adventure Pack. You will need it during the main story and again while working through one of Piglet’s Friendship quests.

Most of the recipe comes from Honeyglow Woods, but two flexible ingredient slots let you use items you already have in storage.

To make Foresty Quiche in Disney Dreamlight Valley, combine these five ingredients at any cooking station:

  • Juniper Berry
  • Truffle
  • Golden Pattypan
  • Any Fish
  • Any Dairy or Oil

You will also need one Coal Ore to cook the dish. After preparing it for the first time, Foresty Quiche will be added to the Honeyglow Woods section of your Meals Collection.

Butter is an easy choice for the Dairy or Oil slot. For the fish, use a common catch rather than spending a rare or valuable fish on a flexible ingredient.

Where to Find Juniper Berries

Juniper Berries grow on bushes in Gloommeadow and Braveheart Grove. Each bush produces four berries, which grow back after approximately 25 minutes.

You can move the bushes closer to your Honeyglow Woods house through Furniture Mode. They will continue producing fruit after being moved.

Only Juniper Berries work in this recipe. You cannot replace them with Sweet Chestnuts or another fruit.

How to Get Truffles

Truffles are gathered through foraging around Honeyglow Woods. Explore the ground throughout the unlocked biomes and collect them whenever they appear.

Truffles are listed under Spices & Herbs in the Ingredients Collection, but they are a fixed part of this recipe. Another spice or herb will not replace them.

Keep a few in storage because Truffles are also used in Blustery Day Soup, crafting projects, quests, and other Honeyglow Woods objectives.

How to Get Golden Pattypan

Golden Pattypan is grown from seeds purchased at the Hunny Seed Stall in Drowsybloom Acre. You must find the Shopping List near the stall before it opens.

Golden Pattypan Seeds cost 50 Star Coins. Plant the seeds, water them twice, and wait for the crop to finish growing.

The normal growth time is around 20 minutes, but planting the seeds in Honeyglow Woods reduces it slightly. Each seed produces two Golden Pattypans.

Our guide on how to get Golden Pattypan in Dreamlight Valley covers the stall unlock and growing process.

Which Fish Should You Use?

Any standard fish should fill the fish slot. You can catch one from fishing ripples around the Valley, Honeyglow Woods, or another expansion area.

A common fish such as Bass is a practical option. You can also use an extra fish collected from Moana’s Fishing Boat.

Avoid using rare fish unless you have plenty in storage. The finished meal works the same regardless of which valid fish you choose.

Which Dairy or Oil Ingredient Should You Use?

Butter is one of the simplest choices and can be purchased from the pantry inside Chez Remy. Milk, Egg, and other ingredients listed under Dairy and Oil should also work.

You only need one ingredient from this category. Adding several Dairy or Oil items may produce a different meal or waste ingredients.

What is Foresty Quiche Used For?

You need one Foresty Quiche during Interlude 2: The Gloomy Hollow. It is used alongside a Toasted Picnic Sandwich, Honey Macarons, Golden Honey, and Honey Agate to clear the Corrupted Honey Wall leading into Braveheart Grove.

Foresty Quiche appears again during Piglet’s level 4 Friendship quest, After the Rain. The quest asks you to cook two servings, with one delivered to WALL-E and the other to Moana.

For both servings, gather two of each required ingredient:

  • Two Juniper Berries
  • Two Truffles
  • Two Golden Pattypans
  • Two Fish
  • Two Dairy or Oil ingredients

Keeping Golden Pattypan and Truffles in storage will make the later quest step much quicker. Once everything is ready, place one of each ingredient into a cooking pot to make Foresty Quiche.
