Grand Theft Auto VI has inspired plenty of normal platform questions, but some devices are entering the conversation with more confidence than technical merit.
Calculators have waited patiently. Smart fridges have updated their firmware. Microwaves have continued doing whatever they think “popcorn mode” means. Now, the dream of playing GTA 6 on household hardware faces its first real test.
Can You Play GTA 6 on a Microwave, Fridge, or Smart Toaster?
GTA 6 is not confirmed for smart fridges, microwaves, smart toasters, or any other household device currently overestimating its own importance.
This may disappoint players who planned to start a crime spree while checking the expiration date on shredded cheese. Still, Rockstar has not listed any kitchen hardware for launch.
Smart fridges can run apps, display shopping lists, and quietly judge your groceries. Microwaves can turn pizza rolls into molten lava while leaving the middle frozen. Smart toasters can ask for software updates before ruining breakfast.
Useful devices, mostly. GTA 6 platforms, sadly no.
What Platforms Can Play GTA 6?
GTA 6 launches on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19, 2026.
Those are, regrettably for the kitchen hardware community, actual video game consoles.
That gives both consoles a major edge over calculators, fridges, microwaves, and smart toasters, mostly because Rockstar likely used the kitchen hardware for leftovers, not platform testing.
Rockstar has not announced GTA 6 for PC at launch either, so calculators are not the only platform group currently staring through the window. PC players are still waiting for a confirmed date, which you can track in our GTA 6 PC guide.
Could GTA 6 Come to Appliances Later?
Probably not.
Rockstar could always surprise everyone, but a microwave port feels unlikely. A smart fridge version also seems risky, mostly because “GTA 6 failed to launch because the water filter needs replacing” is not the future anyone asked for.
For now, calculators, fridges, microwaves, and smart toasters will remain outside the launch plans. It is a tough break, but the appliances can regroup, update their firmware, and prepare for the next round of platform rumors in roughly 13 years.
