The Dead by Daylight NieR:Automata Collection launches today, Oct. 6, bringing 2B, A2, and Emil into the Fog through three new cosmetics.
Behaviour Interactive announced that 2B and A2 are joining as Legendary Outfits for Feng Min and Yui Kimura, respectively. Killer players are not being left out of this particular existential crisis either, with The Legion receiving a Very Rare Outfit inspired by Emil.
The crossover arrives as a cosmetic collection rather than a new Chapter, so the NieR:Automata characters are represented through existing Dead by Daylight Survivors and Killers.
When is the Dead by Daylight NieR:Automata Collection Available?
The NieR:Automata Collection is available in Dead by Daylight starting Oct. 6, 2026.
The collection includes:
- 2B Legendary Outfit for Feng Min
- A2 Legendary Outfit for Yui Kimura
- Emil-inspired Very Rare Outfit for The Legion
The collection arrives shortly after the new Hallowed Blight cosmetics and ahead of several more October releases.
2B and A2 Join as Legendary Outfits

The two headline cosmetics transform Feng Min and Yui Kimura into NieR:Automata’s android protagonists.
Feng Min receives the 2B Legendary Outfit, while Yui Kimura gets the A2 Legendary Outfit. Legendary cosmetics in Dead by Daylight can substantially change a character’s appearance, making them a natural fit for crossover characters who are not joining the roster separately.
Behaviour describes both as battle-hardened androids entering another seemingly endless fight, which is admittedly not much of a vacation from what they were doing before.
The collection also gives Dead by Daylight another gaming crossover during an already busy month.
The Legion Gets an Emil Outfit

On the Killer side, The Legion receives a Very Rare Outfit inspired by Emil.
The cosmetic adapts Emil’s unmistakable round face and wide grin for the Trials. While 2B and A2 are Legendary Outfits that represent their characters directly, Behaviour describes The Legion’s cosmetic as an outfit inspired by Emil.
That distinction makes this a three-character NieR:Automata collection without turning Emil into a separate playable Killer.
Why NieR:Automata Fits Dead by Daylight

Behaviour is leaning into the thematic overlap between the two games rather than treating the crossover as a completely random wardrobe exchange.
Dead by Daylight Creative Director Dave Richard said both universes deal with “cycles of violence and suffering,” making the characters a fitting match despite the very different settings.
NieR:Automata follows androids caught in a seemingly endless war, with identity, loss, and humanity sitting at the center of its story. Dead by Daylight’s characters are trapped in their own repeating cycle inside the Entity’s Realm, so there is at least a little more connective tissue here than “these costumes look cool.”
Though, to be fair, the costumes also look cool.
