Here is the Arc Raiders Hotfix 1.13.1 that shipped during the recent wave of reports, what it changes, and how to use it alongside our connection-error guide. If you are running into Online Connection Error Arc Raiders messages like Arc Raiders arau0277 or “Arc Raiders Online Servers Are Currently Unavailable,” you need to separate two issues fast: your client version (patch mismatch) versus server-side instability. Hotfixes fix the first problem, but you may still experience issues with the second.

Arc Raiders Hotfix That Applies Right Now

Hotfix 1.13.1 was released on January 28, 2026, as a follow-up to the January 27 “Headwinds” update (1.13.0).

Hotfix 1.13.1 fixes:

Fixed an issue that caused unintended fire rate changes to several weapons.
- Dev Note: Following yesterday’s update, some weapons were affected by a bug that reduced their rate of fire. This was not an intentional change. We always aim to include all changes in our patch notes, and we appreciate you flagging this quickly.
Fixed an issue where some cosmetics available through Raider Tokens were missing from the customization menu if they hadn’t been purchased yet.
Fixed an issue where parts of the Ukrainian localization unintentionally appeared in the game.
- Dev Note: We’re actively working on a full Ukrainian translation, among other languages, for ARC Raiders and will release it once it is ready.
Embark heard you wondering why the loot appears too slowly. Rebalanced the speed at which the first item appears when looting. The looting speed before 1.13.0 was unintended. Players with the Looter’s Instincts unlocked will still see loot faster than those without.

Platform note: Embark delayed this hotfix for Xbox, and crossplay is disabled for Xbox players until that patch lands.

Does This Hotfix Fix ARAU0277?

Not directly, based on the official hotfix notes. If you see the Arc Raiders Online Servers Are Currently Unavailable error, that can still be a server-side problem. Embark has publicly discussed “extensive, coordinated” DDoS attacks impacting Arc Raiders server stability around the same time, which can trigger login and matchmaking failures regardless of what you do locally.

What To Do After Updating

Download Hotfix 1.13.1, then fully restart your platform (not just the game).
If you still get Arc Raiders arau0277, set Matchmaking Region to Automatic and relaunch.
If the error text says servers are unavailable, check official status posts first. During instability windows, logging in can be risky for progression.
