The Halo Campaign Evolved This is My Ship Now achievement is unlocked during The Pillar of Autumn. You must eliminate Captain Keyes and trap the six Marines who attack afterward inside the observation pen beneath the bridge.
You can complete this challenge on any difficulty, but Easy gives you more time to position the Marines without losing your shields. The achievement is worth 10 Gamerscore on Xbox and Steam or a Bronze trophy on PlayStation 5.
Where to Start the This is My Ship Now Achievement
Select The Pillar of Autumn from Mission Select and load Rally Point Bravo. This places you close to the bridge and skips most of the opening mission.
Enter the bridge and wait for Captain Keyes to finish speaking. After the cutscene, follow the objective marker outside the bridge and collect the pistol from the crew member.
You cannot attack Captain Keyes before receiving the pistol. Once the weapon has been added to your inventory, turn around and return to the bridge.
How to Eliminate Captain Keyes
Return to Captain Keyes and shoot or melee him until he is eliminated. Six Marines will become hostile and enter the bridge after Keyes goes down.
Do not eliminate the Marines. You need to move all six into the observation pen at the front of the bridge to unlock the achievement.
Where to Find the Observation Pen
The observation pen is the recessed area beneath the two pilot stations at the front of the bridge. It is also where the Perspective Skull can be found during a normal playthrough.
You cannot force the Marines directly down the ladder. Instead, you must guide them around the left or right side of the pilot stations and push them over the open edge into the pen.
How to Trap All Six Marines
Lead the hostile Marines toward the front of the bridge. Position yourself so the observation pen is behind or beside the Marine you are moving.
Punch each Marine once to knock them closer to the cockpit. After being hit, they will often crouch and stop advancing normally.
When a Marine crouches, walk into them very slowly. Master Chief can physically push the crouching Marine across the floor without attacking again.
Guide the Marine around either the left or right side of the pilot stations. Continue walking slowly into them until they fall over the edge and land inside the observation pen.
Do not try to push the Marines down the ladder between the pilot stations. They will resist the narrow entrance and become difficult to position.
Repeat the process for all six Marines:
- Punch the Marine once.
- Wait for them to crouch.
- Slowly push them toward the cockpit.
- Move them around the left or right side of the pilots.
- Push them over the open edge into the observation pen.
The This is My Ship Now achievement will unlock as soon as the sixth Marine lands inside the pen.
Can You Continue the Mission Afterward?
Eliminating Captain Keyes prevents the mission from continuing normally. Once the achievement unlocks, restart The Pillar of Autumn or return to Mission Select.
Doing this does not erase your completed missions, collected Skulls, or Terminals. It only replaces your current mission checkpoint.
