Picture Pursuit: Moana continues Disney Dreamlight Valley’s limited-time photo scavenger hunt event. This time, the search moves away from the Valley and into the tropical Realm where you first met Moana.
The area is small, but the Kakamora are placed at very different heights. At least one can be missed easily if you only search along the beach.
How to Complete Picture Pursuit: Moana
Enter the Moana Realm and photograph all four Kakamora Motifs with your Royal Phone. They are found on a rock near the entrance, on the canoe’s sail, high on the rocks across from the campfire, and on the opposite side of the island.
The full quest process is:
- Talk to Moana to begin Picture Pursuit: Moana.
- Enter the Dream Castle.
- Use the Moana Realm door.
- Photograph all four Kakamora.
- Return to Moana.
Each Kakamora needs its own photograph. After taking a picture, check the quest counter to make sure it registered before moving to the next location.
First Kakamora Location

After arriving in the Moana Realm, turn right.
The first Kakamora is standing on one of the nearby rocks. It is close to the Realm entrance and should be visible without walking far along the beach.
Equip your Royal Phone and take a clear picture with the full Kakamora inside the frame.
Second Kakamora Location

The second Kakamora is on the sail of the large canoe.
Walk toward the canoe and look across its sail rather than searching the sand around it. The Kakamora design is placed directly on the fabric.
Move far enough away to fit the relevant part of the sail into your picture. Check the quest tracker afterward to confirm the photograph counted.
Third Kakamora Location

Go to the campfire near the canoe, then look toward the tall rocks across from the boat.
The third Kakamora is perched high on the tip of the rock formation. It is easy to miss because it is well above your character rather than sitting near the beach.
You do not need to climb the rocks. Stand near the campfire, aim your camera upward, and make sure the Kakamora is clearly visible before taking the photo.
Fourth Kakamora Location

The final Kakamora is on the opposite side of the island.
From the Realm entrance, turn left and follow the beach around the island. Look for the Kakamora standing near the outer edge of the area. You may also be able to see it from the entrance by looking toward the left side of the island.
Photograph it, then check that the quest counter shows all four targets completed.
Picture Pursuit: Moana Reward

Return to Moana after all four photographs register. Completing the conversation finishes the quest and rewards you with the Kakamora Motif.
Picture Pursuit Moana Dreamlight Valley also counts toward the larger event duty. Completing any five Picture Pursuit quests unlocks the Pure Cinema Photo Frame, while finishing all seven quests awards every available character Motif.
Once the Moana quest is complete, check your Valley for the next featured villager and another set of hidden photo targets.
