The Toasted Picnic Sandwich in Dreamlight Valley is one of the new meals included with the Honeyglow Woods Adventure Pack. It appears during the main story, so you will eventually need to cook more than one while exploring the new area.
Several ingredients come from Honeyglow Woods, but you will also need one flexible pantry item and a spice before heading to a cooking station.
Toasted Picnic Sandwich Recipe in Dreamlight Valley
To make a Toasted Picnic Sandwich in Disney Dreamlight Valley, add these five ingredients to any cooking station:
- Golden Honey
- Parsnip
- Tree Resin
- Any Dairy or Oil
- Any Spice
You will also need one Coal Ore to cook the meal. The Toasted Picnic Sandwich is a five-star entrée and will be added to your Honeyglow Woods Meals Collection after you make it for the first time.
Butter or Milk works well for the dairy or oil slot. Basil is one of the easiest spices to use because it grows throughout the Peaceful Meadow.
Where to Find the Toasted Picnic Sandwich Ingredients
The recipe pulls from several Honeyglow Woods activities, so you may need to gather materials before you can cook it.
Golden Honey
Golden Honey comes from Beekeeping. After unlocking the feature during the Honeyglow Woods story, place and tend to Bee Houses until they are ready to harvest.
The amount of honey produced depends on the flowers placed around the Bee House. Keep extra Golden Honey in storage because it is needed for recipes, quests, and feeding Hedgehogs their confirmed favorite food.

Parsnip
Parsnip Seeds can be purchased from the Hunny Seed Stall in Drowsybloom Acre after finding the Shopping List and restoring access to the stall.
Plant the seeds, water them, and wait for them to finish growing. Consider harvesting with a villager assigned to the Gardening role if you need several Parsnips for story quests.
Tree Resin
Tree Resin is found by digging anywhere in Honeyglow Woods. Equip your Royal Shovel and dig open patches of ground until it appears.

Any Dairy or Oil
Butter and Milk are simple choices for this recipe. Both can be purchased from the pantry inside Chez Remy after you unlock Remy and open his restaurant.
Only use one ingredient from the Dairy or Oil category. Adding multiple optional ingredients can produce a different meal.
Any Spice
Truffle works for the spice slot and can be gathered in Honeyglow Woods. Look for sparkling digging spots around the biome, then use your Royal Shovel to uncover one.
You can also use another ingredient from the Spices & Herbs category, such as Garlic, Basil, or Oregano. However, Truffle is the most convenient choice if you are already collecting the other Toasted Picnic Sandwich ingredients in Honeyglow Woods.
What is the Toasted Picnic Sandwich Used For?
You first need a Toasted Picnic Sandwich during Interlude 2: The Gloomy Hollow. It is one of the meals and materials required to clear the Corrupted Honey Wall leading to Braveheart Grove.
Later, Chapter 11: The Anti-Monster Camp asks you to cook four Toasted Picnic Sandwiches. These are prepared for your character, Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, and Eeyore as part of the campsite story.
Because the quest eventually requires four sandwiches, it helps to grow extra Parsnips and save Golden Honey and Tree Resin as you explore. Each sandwich needs a complete set of all five ingredients.
