The Oogie Boogie Contract quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley is the second weekly mission in the Season of Scares event. You’ll need to complete A Halloween Invasion first, then check your mailbox for the message that starts Week 2.
The quest became available on Sept. 30. It continues the six-week path toward permanently unlocking Oogie Boogie and Zero.
How to Start the Oogie Boogie Contract
After finishing A Halloween Invasion, check any mailbox in the Valley for a message from Oogie Boogie titled Want Another Try?
Claim the Lucky Wheel Ticket attached to the letter. Then:
- Enter Scrooge McDuck’s Store.
- Use the Strange Mirror.
- Head upstairs to Oogie Boogie.
- Give him the Lucky Wheel Ticket.
- Spin the Lucky Wheel.
- Talk to Oogie Boogie again.
From here, the quest moves into several new challenges around his Mirror Lair and the Valley.
How to Catch the Ghosties
Oogie Boogie gives you a Ghost Lantern for the next objective.
Open your Wardrobe, select Accessories, and equip the Ghost Lantern. You also need to wear one of the Lock, Shock, or Barrel Masks earned during A Halloween Invasion.
Three Ghosties will appear around Oogie Boogie’s Mirror Lair.
Keep the Ghost Lantern equipped and run directly into each Ghostie to catch it. You don’t need to use a Royal Tool or press another interaction button.
Once you have all three, return to the Valley.
Should You Obey or Defy Oogie Boogie?
Next, Oogie Boogie asks you to decorate the Valley. You can choose either option:
- Obey Oogie Boogie: Place five Halloween-themed items.
- Defy Oogie Boogie: Place five Cute items.
Either choice progresses the quest, so you won’t lock yourself out by picking the less spooky option.
You’ll also receive five U-Carve-It Pumpkins during the quest. These can be customized with Touch of Magic if you want to use them as part of your Halloween setup.
Where to Release the Ghosties
After decorating, you need to take your three Ghosties to different locations around the Valley.

| Chez Remy | Talk to Remy, then catch the escaped Ghostie |
The Chez Remy Ghostie is the troublesome one. After speaking with Remy, chase the loose Ghostie around the restaurant and run into it to catch it again.
Talk to Remy once more, then return through the Strange Mirror and speak with Oogie Boogie.
How to Make Snake and Spider Stew
Follow Oogie Boogie inside the Mirror Lair until you reach the cauldron. There’s an old recipe nearby if you want to solve the ingredient riddle yourself.
Otherwise, the Snake and Spider Stew recipe is:

You don’t need to hunt around the Valley for these ingredients. Collect all three from Oogie Boogie’s ingredient stall beside the cooking area.
Add them to the cauldron to make Snake and Spider Stew, then give the finished dish to Oogie Boogie.

The Oogie Boogie Contract Rewards
Completing Week 2 awards the Ghost Well furniture item.
You also obtain several items while progressing through the quest:
- Ghost Lantern
- Five U-Carve-It Pumpkins
- Ghost Well
The Ghost Lantern remains a useful cosmetic accessory after the quest rather than disappearing with the Ghosties.
The next Season of Scares quest is The Ghost in the Portrait, scheduled for Oct. 7.
