The #BambooPerfect Photo Challenge in Forza Horizon 6 requires you to photograph any McLaren at the Bamboo Forest. The destination is Arashiyama Bamboo Forest in western Ito, but there’s a catch: the photo only counts from a smaller dirt road that does not appear on the map.
#BambooPerfect is part of British Automotive Winter, which runs from Sept. 24 through Oct. 1, 2026.
Where to Find Arashiyama Bamboo Forest and Complete #BambooPerfect
The Festival Playlist calls the destination “Bamboo Forest,” while the map identifies the landmark as Arashiyama Bamboo Forest. You’ll find it in western Ito near the Minamino border, with Kitayama Big Daisugi serving as the easiest nearby landmark.
Here’s how to reach the correct photo location:
- Find Kitayama Big Daisugi on the map in Ito.
- Head west toward the orange dirt road.
- Continue along the road when you reach the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest sign. Taking your photo here may look right, but it will not complete #BambooPerfect.
- Keep following the dirt road until you see a smaller dirt road branching off to the left.
- Turn onto this smaller road and drive into the bamboo.
- Stop your McLaren, open Photo Mode and take a picture with the car visible in the frame.
The smaller road does not appear on the FH6 map, so use my location in the screenshot above to find the turnoff. Once you’re on that road, the game should recognize the correct Bamboo Forest location for the challenge.
#BambooPerfect Photo Challenge Rewards
There is no required McLaren model or performance class, so anything from your garage will work. You also don’t need to complete a race, Speed Zone or other activity nearby. Just get the car into the correct section of the forest and take the photo.
Completing #BambooPerfect awards two Winter Season Points and the Karate Master emote. The Winter reward cars are the Vauxhall Astra VXR at 20 points and the Bentley Bentayga at 40.
Complete the challenge before the Festival Playlist changes on Oct. 1.
