The Ohtani Region Treasure Hunt in Forza Horizon 6 is one of the Horizon Mascot Party Winter Festival Playlist challenges. Unlike some Treasure Hunts, this one does not require a specific vehicle or a Skill challenge before the chest appears.
Instead, the Festival Playlist gives you a photo clue and sends you into Ohtani to find the chest yourself.
The current challenge is available from August 27 through September 3, 2026 and awards three Playlist points alongside a large Credit reward.

Where to Find the Ohtani Region Treasure Hunt in FH6
The Ohtani Region Treasure Chest is underneath Matsumi Great Bridge, close to Matsumi Curve in southern Ohtani.
The easiest way to find it is to use Matsumi Curve as your main map reference. Near the event, look for the white dotted road that runs underneath Matsumi Great Bridge. You’ll find the white dotted line above the Matsumi Great Bridge marker on the map.
Once you find that dotted route, follow it toward the bridge. The Treasure Chest is located along that path beneath the overpass.
To reach the chest:
- Open the Festival Playlist and select the Ohtani Region Treasure Hunt.
- Travel to Matsumi Curve in Ohtani.
- Look for the white dotted road near the event.
- Follow that dotted route toward Matsumi Great Bridge.
- Continue underneath the bridge.
- Look for the Treasure Chest along the route beneath the overpass.
- Smash the chest with your car to complete the challenge.
You do not need a specific vehicle, tune, or car class for this Treasure Hunt.
If the chest disappears or does not appear when you arrive, fast travel away and return. A full restart of Forza Horizon 6 may also make it reappear.
Ohtani Region Treasure Hunt Reward
Completing the Ohtani Region Treasure Hunt gives you three Festival Playlist points and 100,000 Credits.
That makes it one of the fastest ways to add a few points toward this week’s Winter reward cars. The 1974 Toyota Celica GT unlocks at 20 seasonal points, while the 1989 Toyota MR2 SC requires 40.
One important detail is that FH6 has previously used an Ohtani Region Treasure Hunt name for another Festival Playlist challenge. Older guides may point you toward Kinkaku-ji Temple instead.
For the Horizon Mascot Party Winter challenge running August 27 to September 3, you want Matsumi Great Bridge, not the older treasure location.
