How to Get Pebbles in Dreamlight Valley

This crafting material comes from digging, but only certain biomes can produce it.

Pebbles in Dreamlight Valley are needed for furniture, paths, training manuals, quests, and other crafting projects. Unlike Stone, they do not come from mining rock spots with your Royal Pickaxe.

You need to search the correct biomes and use a different Royal Tool to collect them reliably.

To get Pebbles in Disney Dreamlight Valley, equip your Royal Shovel and dig anywhere in Dazzle Beach, the Forest of Valor, Sunlit Plateau, or the Forgotten Lands.

You do not need to find a sparkling digging spot. Choose an open patch of ground in one of the four biomes and begin digging holes until Pebbles drop.

The base-game Pebble locations are:

  • Dazzle Beach
  • Forest of Valor
  • Sunlit Plateau
  • Forgotten Lands

Pebbles are not guaranteed with every hole. You may also dig up Soil, Sand, Clay, Night Shards, or other materials depending on the biome.

Can You Buy Pebbles?

Pebbles can sometimes appear at Kristoff’s Stall for 10 Star Coins each.

The stall’s available materials rotate, so Pebbles will not always be in stock. Buying them is useful when you only need a small amount, but digging is the reliable option for farming a larger supply.

Purchasing Pebbles may also not count for duties that specifically ask you to collect or dig up the material.

Best Place to Farm Pebbles

Dazzle Beach is the most convenient early-game location for farming Pebbles. It has large stretches of open sand where you can dig several holes without navigating around trees, rocks, or buildings.

However, Dazzle Beach also produces Sand, so every dig will not give you Pebbles. Continue digging across an open section until you have the amount you need.

The Forest of Valor, Sunlit Plateau, and Forgotten Lands also work. Choose whichever biome has the most open space in your Valley.

Bring a villager assigned to the Digging role before you start. Your companion may drop bonus Pebbles and other materials as you work.

Where to Get Pebbles in Expansion Areas

Players with certain expansions have additional places to dig for Pebbles.

Pebbles can be found throughout Ancient’s Landing in A Rift in Time, including:

  • The Docks
  • The Courtyard
  • The Overlook
  • The Ruins

They can also be dug up across the Wishing Alps in Wishblossom Ranch, including:

  • Wishing Way
  • Wishblossom Ranch
  • Delver Dale
  • Silver Summit
  • Ranch Highlands

You do not need either expansion to collect Pebbles. The four base-game biomes remain available to every player.

How to Get More Pebbles While Digging

Use these tips to make Pebble farming easier:

  • Dig in Dazzle Beach or another large, open biome.
  • Ask a villager with the Digging role to hang out.
  • Clear furniture from your chosen farming area.
  • Bring cooked meals to refill your energy.
  • Store the Sand, Soil, and Clay you collect for future projects.
  • Check Kristoff’s Stall whenever you visit.

Digging consumes energy quickly, so fill your blue energy bar before starting. Eating cooked meals after the bar is full will overcharge it and give you extra time before you need another meal.
