How to access Honeyglow Woods in Dreamlight Valley depends on two things: owning the Adventure Pack and finishing the required early Story Quests. Once both are done, the game points you toward the next step through your mailbox.

Honeyglow Woods is not a Realm door inside the Dream Castle. It starts through a special invitation and a magical tree gateway tied to the new Adventure Pack.

To access Honeyglow Woods in Dreamlight Valley, you need to own the Honeyglow Woods Adventure Pack, finish the required early Story Quests, then check your mailbox for the special invitation.

After claiming the invitation, follow the new quest steps to plant the Tree Sprout. That sprout eventually grows into the magical glowing tree gateway used to enter Honeyglow Woods.

All Quests Required to Start Honeyglow Woods

You need to complete these Story Quests before you can start the Honeyglow Woods content:

  • Welcome to Dreamlight Valley (Merlin’s Quest)
  • Friendship is Everything (Merlin’s Quest)
  • Making Cents of Things (Scrooge McDuck’s Quest)
  • Scrooge McDuck’s Grand Re-opening (Scrooge McDuck’s Quest)
  • Fishing Expedition (Goofy’s Quest)

These are early-game quests, so you do not need to finish the entire base game story. However, brand-new players still need to get through the first stretch of Valley setup before Honeyglow Woods can begin.

If you just started the game, keep following Merlin, Scrooge McDuck, and Goofy’s early quests until all five requirements are complete.

Where to Find the Honeyglow Woods Invitation

Once you own Honeyglow Woods and complete the required Story Quests, check your in-game mailbox.

You should receive a special invitation tied to the Adventure Pack. Claim it from the mailbox, then follow the new quest that appears in your log.

This is the part that can be easy to miss if you are expecting a new Realm door or a map marker right away. The mailbox is the handoff point, because apparently even magical woodland adventures need paperwork.

How the Honeyglow Woods Gateway Works

After claiming the invitation, the Honeyglow Woods questline has you plant a Tree Sprout. According to Gameloft’s Honeyglow Woods patch notes, that Tree Sprout grows into a magical glowing tree gateway.

You can place the gateway in your Valley or on base game Floating Islands. Gameloft also says the gateway can be removed or replaced later, so you are not permanently stuck with your first placement.

Once the gateway is placed, cross through it to begin exploring Honeyglow Woods.

Do You Need to Finish Dreamlight Valley First?

No, you do not need to finish the full Disney Dreamlight Valley story before starting Honeyglow Woods. The required quests are all early Story Quests tied to Merlin, Scrooge McDuck, and Goofy.

That makes Honeyglow Woods more approachable for new and returning players. You still need the Adventure Pack, but you do not need to clear every biome, unlock every character, or finish the main story before starting.

If you are still unsure how the paid content works, check our guide on whether Honeyglow Woods is free in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

What to Do if Honeyglow Woods Does Not Start

If Honeyglow Woods does not start after purchase, check these steps first:

If the quest still does not show up after those steps, check the official Disney Dreamlight Valley Help Center before deleting anything or messing with account settings.

Welcome to Honeyglow Woods

Honeyglow Woods starts after you own the Adventure Pack, finish the required early Story Quests, and claim the special invitation from your mailbox. From there, the Tree Sprout questline leads into the magical gateway that opens the new area.

The good news is that this is not locked behind the full base game story. Finish the early Merlin, Scrooge, and Goofy setup, check your mailbox, and you should be ready to start the Honeyglow Woods adventure.
