Nintendo has confirmed amiibo support for the Ocarina of Time remake, but figuring out which figures actually qualify is a little messier than it sounds. Link, Zelda, Ganondorf, and other characters have appeared across several amiibo lines over the years, often with different versions based on different games.
That distinction matters because Nintendo uses specific series names on its amiibo listings. A Link figure based on one Zelda game may be categorized differently from another Link sitting three inches away on the shelf.
This guide breaks down the Ocarina of Time amiibo compatibility using Nintendo’s current wording and product listings. We’ll separate the figures that fit Nintendo’s confirmed compatibility language from older or differently branded amiibo that still need clarification.
Which amiibo Work with Ocarina of Time?

The Ocarina of Time remake supports existing Legend of Zelda series amiibo, including figures based on games such as Link’s Awakening, Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom, Majora’s Mask, and other Zelda releases.
Nintendo says players can tap “any existing Legend of Zelda series amiibo” to receive in-game extras. The easiest way to tell whether a figure falls under that wording is to check Nintendo’s own product listing. If Nintendo identifies the amiibo as part of The Legend of Zelda series or one of its game-specific Zelda series, it falls under the compatibility wording Nintendo currently uses for Ocarina of Time.
That distinction matters because Nintendo also sells Link, Zelda, Ganondorf, Sheik, and other Zelda characters as part of the Super Smash Bros. Series. Those versions have not been specifically confirmed for Ocarina of Time.

What Do Ocarina of Time amiibo Unlock?

Nintendo currently says standard Zelda amiibo provide in-game extras to help with your adventure, but it has not revealed the complete reward pool.
We do know about two special rewards, though.
The new Young Link and Young Zelda amiibo coming in 2027 each unlock an in-game mask that evokes the graphical style of the original Ocarina of Time. Nintendo has confirmed those rewards directly on both figures’ official pages.
The exact release date for those figures has not been announced beyond 2027.

You do not need an amiibo to play or complete the Ocarina of Time remake. Nintendo lists amiibo as a supported accessory rather than a requirement.
