The NBA 2K27 Top 10 player ratings are official, and there is no single player sitting alone at the top this year. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Victor Wembanyama, and Nikola Jokić will all begin NBA 2K27 with a 97 OVR rating.
2K revealed the final Top 10 on August 17 as it prepares for a much larger NBA 2K27 showcase tomorrow. The rankings also put Luka Dončić, Jalen Brunson, and Giannis Antetokounmpo immediately behind the leading trio at 96 OVR.

Here are the 10 highest-rated players in NBA 2K27 at launch:

The three-way tie at 97 means NBA 2K27 will launch without a 98 or 99 OVR player at the top of its initial rankings. Anthony Edwards follows the group of 96-rated players at 95 OVR, while Cade Cunningham reaches 94. Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant round out the Top 10 with matching 93 ratings.
The official NBA 2K27 ratings database goes well beyond the first 10 players. Kawhi Leonard, Jayson Tatum, Donovan Mitchell, and Karl-Anthony Towns are among the players immediately outside the Top 10 at 93 OVR.
These ratings are not permanent. 2K says overall ratings will change throughout the 2026-27 NBA season based on player performances, meaning movement at the top of the rankings should begin once the season gets underway.

The ratings arrive one day before 2K’s Preseason Breakdown: NBA 2K27 Game Reveal, which is scheduled for August 18 at 10:00 AM PT.
2K plans to use the stream to reveal more of this year’s features, gameplay changes, and mode updates. The presentation will stream live across Twitch, YouTube, TikTok, and X.
NBA 2K27 is scheduled to launch worldwide on September 4, 2026, with Early Access beginning August 28 for eligible Deluxe and Ultra Edition owners.
With the ratings countdown finished, attention now shifts to tomorrow’s showcase and what else 2K has planned before players hit the court later this month.
