Minecraft Dungeons II hotfix 1.1.2.0 is rolling out now, targeting several crashes and a blurry graphics issue affecting players using the Ultra quality setting.
Mojang released the patch first on Steam on Oct. 7, with Windows and Xbox Series X|S versions scheduled to follow soon. The update is focused on stability rather than new content, which is probably less exciting than another dungeon but considerably more useful when the alternative is staring at the desktop.
What Does Minecraft Dungeons II Hotfix 1.1.2.0 Fix?
The new update addresses multiple client and server crashes that could occur during normal gameplay.
Mojang also singled out two more specific crash scenarios. One could occur when Prime Enchanter used Lightning Slam at the same moment as a TNT explosion. Another could happen when a player attempted to exit an online game.
Those fixes join broader stability work aimed at crashes that were not tied to one particular encounter or action.
Ultra Graphics Should No Longer Look Blurry
Hotfix 1.1.2.0 also fixes an issue where Minecraft Dungeons II could appear blurry when launched with Ultra graphics quality.
That makes this patch particularly relevant for PC players who were running the game at its highest settings but getting an image that looked decidedly less than ultra.
Mojang does not list additional performance adjustments, balance changes, or gameplay tweaks in this hotfix, so players should not expect changes to loot, classes, enchantments, or campaign progression.
When is Hotfix 1.1.2.0 Coming to Xbox and Windows?
The update is available on Steam first, while Mojang says the Windows and Xbox Series X|S versions will arrive soon. No exact rollout time was provided for those platforms.
The official patch note does not give timing for other platforms, so it is better to wait for Mojang to confirm those versions rather than assume every edition will update simultaneously.
Mojang says the team is continuing to work on additional fixes and improvements based on player reports, making 1.1.2.0 another early post-launch cleanup pass rather than the end of support.
