The Phasmophobia Crimson Eye 2026 event begins Oct. 8 and runs through Nov. 1, bringing the Blood Moon back to eight locations alongside new and returning seasonal rewards.
Kinetic Games deployed update 0.19.1.0 on Oct. 7 to prepare the game for the event. This year’s version also adds a Seasonal Event toggle, letting groups turn the event versions of maps on or off for their session.
When Does Crimson Eye 2026 Start?
Crimson Eye begins Oct. 8, 2026, and ends Nov. 1, 2026.
The supporting update arrived one day earlier, so players should be ready to go when the event activates. Kinetic Games originally planned the patch for Oct. 6 before moving it to Oct. 7 without changing the event start date.

Eight Phasmophobia locations receive the Blood Moon treatment this year.

Only the standard version of Point Hope is included. Point Hope Restricted does not participate in the event.
The lineup also gives players their first Crimson Eye look at Nell’s Diner and the reworked versions of Tanglewood and Willow Street.
How Does the Crimson Eye Event Work?
On participating maps, players earn event points by finding Blood Moon totems, completing investigations, and finishing optional objectives.
Blood Moon weather increases the danger from ghosts while you work. The points you earn contribute toward both personal and community rewards, so normal ghost hunting remains the main job, just with considerably more red lighting and supernatural paperwork.
If you would rather play the standard maps, update 0.19.1.0 adds a Seasonal Event toggle that can disable event maps for your session.
What are the Crimson Eye 2026 Rewards?
Kinetic Games has confirmed several unlockable rewards:

- Beholder ID Card and Badge set
- Blood Moon charm
- Upgradeable Crimson Eye trophy
Returning players who already own the trophy will earn points toward upgrading their existing version instead of receiving a duplicate.
How to Get the Crimson Eye Twitch Drop
A separate Crimson Eye tee is available through Twitch during the first week of the event.
Watch a total of two hours of Phasmophobia streams during the campaign to earn the drop. The promotion starts with Crimson Eye on Oct. 8 and runs until 11:59 p.m. BST on Oct. 15.
When is Double XP in Crimson Eye 2026?
Phasmophobia will offer double XP and investigation rewards from Oct. 15 through Oct. 22.
The final week also brings back Ghost Hunts 4 Hearts with the American Heart Association from Oct. 26 through Nov. 1. Kinetic Games says additional details about that portion of the event will arrive closer to its start.
