The G-League is a major part of the opening NBA 2K27 MyCAREER story if you choose the modern Fire & Concrete path.
Your MyPLAYER does not immediately jump from the opening chapters into a full NBA career. Instead, Fire & Concrete follows a longer road toward the NBA Draft as part of an 11-chapter story.
That can become a problem if you created a MyPLAYER primarily to reach The City and start your NBA career.
Fortunately, NBA 2K27 gives new MyCAREER saves a couple of ways to approach the story. What you can skip depends on whether you are starting a new career or have already begun Fire & Concrete.
How to Skip the G-League in NBA 2K27

Yes, you can skip the G-League in NBA 2K27, but only when starting a new Fire & Concrete career. Choose Chapter 6: Beginnings instead of starting from Chapter 1 to skip the earlier story content, including the G-League portion.
To do that:
- Create or select your MyPLAYER.
- Start a new Fire & Concrete MyCAREER.
- Choose the later story starting point.
- Select Chapter 6: Beginnings.
- Continue from there toward the NBA portion of the story.
This skips more than just the G-League games. You are also bypassing the earlier Fire & Concrete chapters and their story content. Players who want to experience the complete story and unlock Dynasty Badges should start normally instead.
Can You Skip G-League Games After Starting Fire & Concrete?
Not individually.
Once you commit to the opening Fire & Concrete chapters, the G-League games become part of your story progression. There is no standard option to select each scheduled G-League game and immediately simulate past the entire section.
Reports from players who complete the opening normally put the G-League portion at several hours. The exact time depends on game length, difficulty, and how quickly you move through cutscenes and other story content.
The NBA Draft arrives around Chapter 6, with the Winter Showcase forming part of the later G-League progression.
