Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest Chapter 223 spoilers have not been dependably verified ahead of the manga’s scheduled Oct. 27 release. However, Chapter 222 left Elfman facing a dangerous decision that could change the battle against Levia and Scissor Runner.
With Laxus and Mirajane badly injured, Fairy Tail’s remaining fighters may have to attempt something considerably riskier than their original plan.
Here’s the current spoiler status and what the previous chapter established.
Are Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest Chapter 223 Spoilers Available?
As of Oct. 24, 2026, a dependable Chapter 223 spoiler summary has not been confirmed.
The next installment is scheduled to arrive Tuesday, Oct. 27, through Kodansha’s K MANGA service.
Until reliable chapter information becomes available, specific claims about Elfman’s transformation or the outcome of the battle should be treated as speculation.
We’ll update this section when the chapter’s events can be verified.
What Happened in Fairy Tail Chapter 222?
Chapter 222, titled “Becoming a Man Who Can Protect,” continued Laxus’ confrontation with Levia, the Life-Jail Dragon.
Laxus managed to catch his opponent in a suplex, combining the wrestling move with his Dragon Slayer lightning.
Unfortunately, Levia responded by transforming into his dragon form and attempting to drain Laxus’ magic.
The situation changed when Scissor Runner unexpectedly crashed into Levia.
Mirajane had sent the dragon toward the battlefield, arriving alongside Elfman, Richard and Sorano.
However, the reinforcements didn’t immediately solve Fairy Tail’s problems.
Levia and Scissor Runner eventually launched a combined breath attack. Laxus and Mirajane moved to protect their allies, suffering serious injuries in the process.
That left Elfman with an increasingly difficult decision.

Will Elfman Transform Into a Dragon in Chapter 223?
Elfman’s potential dragon transformation is the biggest unresolved question heading into Chapter 223.
During the previous chapter, Mirajane suggested using his Take Over magic to obtain a dragon form.
Elfman has already experienced the pain associated with transforming part of his body into a dragon.
Attempting a complete transformation would push that ability considerably further.
However, seeing Laxus and Mirajane risk themselves to protect the others appears to change his outlook.
Rather than continue relying on his stronger teammates, Elfman decides to step forward.
Chapter 222 ends before confirming whether he successfully completes the transformation.
That distinction matters. Elfman’s determination is established, but the result of his decision is not.
Can Fairy Tail Defeat Levia and Scissor Runner?
Even with reinforcements, Fairy Tail faces two dangerous opponents.
Levia has already demonstrated the ability to drain an opponent’s magic, while Scissor Runner remains a significant threat.
Their combined attack also showed that the dragons can quickly overwhelm powerful fighters working together.
Elfman’s Take Over magic could provide a new option, but there is no guarantee that obtaining a dragon form would immediately solve the problem.
The transformation might also carry consequences of its own.
Meanwhile, the larger conflict involving Ignia continues beyond this individual confrontation.
Whatever happens in Chapter 223, Fairy Tail still has a considerable amount of work ahead.
