Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest Chapter 219 is expected to release through K MANGA on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.

Chapter 218 arrived on August 18, making September 1 the next expected update unless Kodansha announces a delay.
What Happened in Fairy Tail Chapter 218?
Chapter 218 focuses heavily on Erza and Motherglare.
Motherglare eventually abandons her enormous dragon body and returns to human form, giving her greater mobility against Erza.
However, the change also brings her close enough to notice something unexpected.
Motherglare senses dragon power inside Erza.
That leads Erza back to her connection with Irene Belserion.
Erza then unveils a new transformation directly modeled after her mother.

How Did Erza Get Irene’s Power?
Chapter 218 does not completely explain that yet.
Erza’s connection to Irene is unlike a normal magical inheritance.
Irene carried Erza for centuries after becoming a dragon, and Irene herself created Dragon Slayer Magic.
That history gives the manga several possible explanations for the dragon presence Motherglare detects.
Erza may have retained power from Irene before birth.

Could the Thunder Legion Help Laxus?

Bickslow’s magic has an obvious connection to souls.
