Resident Evil Requiem Leon Must Die Forever is available now as a free minigame. Capcom released the new mode today for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, Epic Games Store, and GeForce NOW.
The mode unlocks after players complete the main story. It puts Leon S. Kennedy back in the spotlight for a faster, combat-heavy challenge.
What Is Leon Must Die Forever?
Leon Must Die Forever sends players through areas from Resident Evil Requiem with a much harsher setup. Enemy variants are stronger, the clock is always ticking, and players need to survive long enough to reach the final boss.
The mode is built for repeat runs. Area order, progression, and enhancer ability choices can change each time. That should give players more reasons to jump back in after clearing the campaign.
Leon also gets exclusive enhancer abilities in this mode. Players fill an enhancement gauge by defeating enemies, then use those abilities to improve their chances during each run.
New Difficulty Ranks and Update Details
Capcom added five difficulty ranks to Leon Must Die Forever. That gives players a clear ladder to climb once they learn the mode’s pacing and enemy patterns.
The update also includes bug fixes across platforms. PC players get another bonus, too. Resident Evil Requiem now supports the DualSense wireless controller’s adaptive triggers, haptic feedback, and motion sensor features on PC.
More Resident Evil Requiem Content Is on the Way
Capcom also launched new Leon Must Die Forever merchandise. The lineup includes t-shirts, long-sleeve shirts, sweatshirts, and hoodies.
Resident Evil fans can also watch for the first Resident Evil amiibo figures on July 30. The figures feature Grace Ashcroft and Leon S. Kennedy, the two lead characters from Resident Evil Requiem.
Resident Evil Requiem is Capcom’s latest mainline survival horror entry. The game brings players back to Raccoon City as Grace and Leon confront the past behind the Raccoon City Incident.
With Leon Must Die Forever live now, players have a tougher post-game mode waiting after the credits roll.
