Prime Video is taking the Fallout brand in a new direction with Fallout Shelter, a reality competition series built around Vault-Tec chaos. Amazon has ordered a 10-episode season, and the show will stream worldwide on Prime Video. Prime Video still has not locked in a premiere date.
The Fallout Shelter reality competition series turns the classic vault fantasy into a pressure-cooker game. Contestants, labeled “dwellers,” move into a Vault-Tec-inspired bunker and live under constant surveillance. They will tackle challenges that test brains, brawn, and nerves. The format also leans into Fallout’s retro-futuristic vibe and dark humor.
Fallout Shelter Reality Competition Series
The show’s hook centers on Fallout’s S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stats. Challenges pull from Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility, and Luck. That mix should push players to adapt fast. Win a physical task, then survive a social twist. Read the room wrong, and you could end up on the chopping block.
Casting is live right now through the official application page. Applicants must be at least 21 years old. They also need a valid passport that covers the full filming window. The listing shows a February 15, 2026, deadline, though the production can adjust it.
The casting info also points to a June 2026 shoot. It lists an estimated production length of about three weeks. Final dates can change, so applicants should stay flexible.
The Studios
Behind the scenes, Fallout Shelter links up major reality TV experience with Fallout’s TV and game teams. Studio Lambert leads production, with Kilter Films attached—Amazon, MGM Studios, and Bethesda Game Studios also partner on the project. Studio Lambert’s recent credits include The Traitors and Squid Game: The Challenge, both of which feature this kind of strategy-heavy setup.
