The Fallout 76 C.A.M.P. Revamp has landed, and it’s one of the most builder-friendly patches yet. This update delivers a stack of quality-of-life upgrades. Players now have more freedom to design their dream settlements, enjoy smoother combat, and dive into Season 22: Appalachian Modern Living. On PC (Steam), the patch weighs in at around 9.9 GB.
Fallout 76 C.A.M.P. Revamp
The biggest change comes with relaxed build rules in Adventure mode. Players who enjoyed Fallout Worlds’ flexibility can finally bring that creativity into their main C.A.M.P.s. You’ll find three new placement modes—Snap, Collision, and Free Mode—that let you fine-tune structures without rigid snapping. In addition, foundations are no longer required, walls can sit beneath floors, and power cables may now intersect objects. Simply put, building feels more flexible than ever.
Workshop 2.0 overhaul
The Workshop menu has been rebuilt for smoother browsing. Items now appear in clear categories and subcategories, covering everything from Foundations and Shelters to Wall Décor and Dwellers. Meanwhile, the Modify Menu received a facelift. You can move, scrap, and replace items faster, customize wallpapers, and—most importantly—add locks to doors, generators, and collectors to keep resources secure.
Protect your gear with item locking
A long-requested feature is finally here: item locking. Players can now lock weapons, armor, Power Armor, and even consumables to prevent accidental scrapping, selling, or trading. Better yet, locks work everywhere you manage items, including your Pip-Boy, Stash, workbenches, vendors, and more.
Combat and perk rebalance
Bethesda continues its combat rebalancing project with this update. Manual aiming feels sharper thanks to reduced recoil, smaller cones of fire, and new scope zoom options. At the same time, V.A.T.S. hit chances were rewritten to deliver more consistent results. On top of that, melee and ranged weapons now deal more damage, while damage-over-time effects hit harder. Weapon mods feature clearer tradeoffs, and perks across heavy guns, melee, bows, and thrown weapons have been reworked. Cards like Bullet Storm and Hat Trick introduce new ways to customize builds.
Events and quality-of-life updates
Beyond building and combat, the patch brings more variety. Mischief Night returns on October 7, while Caravans were streamlined to give faster rewards and guaranteed payouts. Meanwhile, controller players will notice a ping and emote swap, accessibility settings expanded, and dozens of bug fixes across C.A.M.P. kits, workbenches, quests, fishing, and UI.
