November 2026 video game releases have two enormous headliners: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on Nov. 5 and Grand Theft Auto VI on Nov. 19. However, there’s plenty happening between them. World of Warcraft: Forever opens a new chapter in Azeroth, while Nintendo Switch 2 picks up several notable ports and upgraded editions.
The schedule also features new indie games, expansions and titles leaving Early Access. We’ve separated those release types so you can see what’s new, what’s getting another platform and what requires a game you already own.

Top 5 November 2026 Video Game Releases We’re Watching

Grand Theft Auto VI might dominate the conversation, but November has more than one game worth watching. Our five picks cover new adventures, familiar worlds and a few different ways to lose an entire weekend.
These are editorial selections, not a measured wishlist ranking.
5. Ranger’s Path: National Park Simulator
Release date: Nov. 17
Platforms: PC (full release), PS5, Xbox Series X|S
Ranger’s Path: National Park Simulator puts you in charge of protecting Faremont National Park. Your daily responsibilities include maintaining trails, assisting visitors, documenting wildlife and responding to emergencies. There’s also plenty of wilderness to explore when you’re not busy keeping the park running.
The November release takes the game out of Early Access and brings it to consoles. It also introduces two-player co-op, allowing friends to patrol the park and tackle ranger duties together.
- Why You Should Be Excited: There’s something appealing about exploring a national park without leaving your chair. Between wildlife encounters, maintenance tasks and unexpected emergencies, there’s plenty to keep you busy. Plus, the new co-op mode means you can bring a friend along for the adventure.
- Why Nux Game Guides Is Excited: We’ve been spending time in Faremont National Park ahead of its full release. We’re especially interested in seeing how the new co-op mode changes the experience and what additional surprises await players when November rolls around (hint: a particularly hairy cryptid).
4. Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School
Release date: Nov. 5
Platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC; Game Pass
Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School brings players back to the classroom with new escape rooms, mysterious puzzles and a fully explorable campus. This time, the adventure goes beyond individual rooms. Players can investigate the school grounds, complete side quests and uncover secrets surrounding the academy’s history.
The sequel also supports local and online co-op, so you can bring a friend along to help solve puzzles. Or spend 20 minutes arguing over a clue that was right in front of you.
- Why You Should Be Excited: The expanded campus offers more freedom to explore between escape rooms. With new mysteries, characters and puzzles scattered throughout the school, there’s plenty to investigate beyond the main challenges.
- Why Nux Game Guides Is Excited: We’re especially interested in how the open-world campus changes the puzzle-solving experience. The first game’s escape room formula provides a strong foundation, and we’re looking forward to seeing how the sequel builds on it with more exploration and cooperative challenges.
3. World of Warcraft: Forever
Release date: Nov. 4
Platform: PC
World of Warcraft: Forever introduces a permanent new version of Azeroth alongside modern World of Warcraft and Classic. Blizzard is revisiting the original world’s early era while introducing new stories, zones, dungeons and raids.
Rather than simply repeating the original expansion timeline, Forever is designed to develop its own path. Access is included with an active World of Warcraft subscription or game time.
- Why You Should Be Excited: Returning to the original continents with new adventures could make exploration feel fresh again. Existing players can revisit familiar locations, while newcomers get another starting point.
- Why Nux Game Guides Is Excited: The idea of revisiting early Azeroth without knowing exactly where its story will go has our attention. We’re especially curious about how Blizzard balances the familiar world with content that takes it somewhere new.
2. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Release date: Nov. 5
Platform: Switch 2
Nintendo is rebuilding The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for Switch 2 as part of the series’ 40th anniversary celebrations. The remake features overhauled visuals, voiced cutscenes, expanded dialogue, orchestral music and updated movement controls.
This is a full remake of the Nintendo 64 adventure rather than another rerelease of the original.
- Why You Should Be Excited: Players can return to Hyrule with modern controls and presentation while experiencing the original adventure’s story. For anyone discovering Ocarina of Time for the first time, the remake offers a new entry point.
- Why Nux Game Guides Is Excited: We’re particularly interested in the revised controls and camera. Ocarina of Time helped shape 3D adventures, so seeing how Nintendo modernizes its design without losing what made it memorable should be fascinating.
1. Grand Theft Auto VI
Release date: Nov. 19
Platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X|S
Grand Theft Auto VI takes players back to Vice City and the surrounding state of Leonida. Rockstar’s latest crime adventure follows Jason and Lucia, whose lives become tangled in a criminal conspiracy after a job goes wrong.
With a new setting to explore, two central protagonists and another sprawling open world, GTA VI has an enormous amount to deliver.
- Why You Should Be Excited: Returning to Vice City means new places to discover, stories to uncover and plenty of opportunities for things to go spectacularly wrong. Jason and Lucia’s relationship also gives the narrative an interesting foundation.
- Why Nux Game Guides Is Excited: We’re eager to see how Rockstar builds on its open-world design, particularly the activities, exploration and details that make its settings feel alive. We also want to see how Jason and Lucia’s story develops across the full campaign. And yes, we’ll probably spend far too long doing everything except the next mission.
Which November Release Will You Play First?
November offers some very different choices. You could spend the month exploring Hyrule, return to Azeroth or lose yourself in Vice City. Meanwhile, smaller games and expansions offer plenty of alternatives if those adventures aren’t on your calendar.
Before buying, check whether your chosen release is a new game, a console version, an expansion or an Early Access launch.
