Four Knights of the Apocalypse Chapter 246 reveals how the Knights of the Holy Grail were tricked into attacking their own parents.
The chapter, officially titled “The Difference in Ability,” also confirms Galahad’s parents before Cath Palug returns with Guinevere as his hostage.

How the Holy Grail Knights Reached the Past
Chapter 246 explains what happened before the Knights of the Holy Grail arrived in the Four Knights’ timeline.
The children had been carrying out a mission for King Arthur in their own era. During that assignment, they entered a strange world and encountered someone who appeared to be Arthur.
The supposed king warned them that impostors had stolen the names and identities of the Four Knights of the Apocalypse.
He ordered the children to eliminate those impostors.
The Knights of the Holy Grail accepted the mission without realizing that Percival, Tristan, Lancelot, and Gawain were their real parents.
Cath Palug Impersonated Arthur
Tristan recognizes that the person who deceived the children was not the real Arthur.
It was Cath Palug.
Cath possesses part of Arthur’s Chaos power, allowing the creature to copy his appearance. It used that disguise to manipulate the children and send them against the Four Knights.
Gawain explains that Chaos created everything. Because of that power, manipulating time or pulling people from another period may be possible.
However, the chapter leaves some uncertainty around exactly how the children reached the past. Cath may have summoned them directly, or it may have taken advantage of another event that brought them into the current timeline.
What is clear is that Cath used the situation to keep the Four Knights busy.
Galahad Learns Lancelot is His Father
Galahad wakes after Lancelot defeats him.
He finally accepts that the young man standing in front of him is the real Lancelot. Only his father could have beaten him so decisively once Anne’s magic stopped restricting Lancelot’s power.
The realization creates one obvious problem. Lancelot is still young and has not yet had Galahad.
Galahad offers personal proof that connects them.
He recalls advice his father often gives him about sleeping properly so he can continue growing. Galahad explains that those words were also connected to the first conversation between Lancelot and his future mother.
That mother is Guinevere.
The revelation confirms that Lancelot and Guinevere eventually become Galahad’s parents, even though their relationship has not reached that point in the present.
Cath Confronts the Four Knights
Cath appears before the Four Knights while still wearing Arthur’s form.
Percival and Tristan recognize the deception because they have already met the real King Arthur. Once exposed, Cath abandons the disguise and returns to its monstrous appearance.
Cath admits that turning the children against their parents did not work as planned.
The Knights of the Holy Grail failed to seriously injure the Four Knights. However, they still distracted the group long enough for Cath to complete another part of its plan.
Lancelot takes Ysaÿe’s spear and prepares to attack.
Cath responds by revealing Guinevere.
Why Did Cath Capture Guinevere?
Chapter 246 does not explain how Cath found Guinevere or what it wants from her.
The most immediate reason is leverage.
Lancelot is one of the strongest members of the Four Knights. Cath knows that he cannot attack recklessly while Guinevere remains in danger.
Her future-sight ability may also be useful to Cath. Guinevere can see major moments from her own life, which could provide information about Arthur, the Four Knights, or Cath’s future.
Cath may also want the Holy Grail containing Arthur’s blood. The Four Knights planned to use that blood as part of their preparations against Arthur, making it another possible target.
Those possibilities remain theories until Cath states its demands.
What Happens Next?
Four Knights of the Apocalypse Chapter 247 should continue the confrontation between Cath and Lancelot.
Lancelot now knows that Guinevere becomes Galahad’s mother. Before he can process that revelation, he must find a way to rescue her without giving Cath an opening.
Galahad may also join the rescue attempt. Guinevere is his mother, giving him the same reason to oppose Cath.
The Knights of the Holy Grail have finally learned the truth about their parents. Their attention can now shift toward the creature that deceived them.
