Chapter 222 Recap
Chapter 222 throws Liones straight into the clash fans have been waiting for: the Seven Deadly Sins finally stepping up to face Camelot’s heavy hitters. Arthur arrives in Liones claiming he wants his people back, but the Sins quickly call out what’s happening, it’s not as simple as it looks, and the “Arthur” in front of them does not feel like the real thing.
From there, the chapter pivots into the fight itself. The Sins engage the Chaos-empowered Four Evils, but the action keeps snapping back to Meliodas trading blows with the Arthur-shaped threat. The most telling moment is how “Arthur” fights. He denies being Arthur, then shifts his body to attack anyway, showing a level of distortion and aggression that feels different from earlier confrontations where he kept a more human form.
The chapter also makes the battle messier by putting civilians in the middle of it. The Sins cannot just go all-out without worrying about collateral damage, and Camelot uses that pressure like a weapon. At one point, Dianne has to focus on protecting people from an incoming attack instead of staying fully on offense.
