NBA 2K26 Patch 1.1 is the first major update for the game. While gameplay hasn’t changed yet, the patch fixes the biggest problems players have faced since launch. With Season 2 on the way, 2K says this is only the beginning, and a larger update is planned, bringing balance tweaks and new content.
2K also addressed the community’s most downvoted complaint. The AMD Radeon RX 9000 crash on PC caused disconnects before matches could even load. That bug should not return. High-end PC players should finally see stable sessions and fewer surprise drops. For many, this fix is the difference between playing and giving up.
The City also feels more stable after several tweakd, and challenges now register correctly. Season Pass holders should receive the daily 1,000 VC bonus every time. Street Kings Co-Op runs clean, without mid-match disconnects that ruined streaks. All of this means that day-to-day play should feel more reliable across busy servers.
MyCAREER progression is smoother too. A freeze during the NBA Draft in the Out of Bounds story no longer stops progress. The Rookie of the Year personal goal also works correctly, and saves can continue without blockers or restarts. That should reduce lost time and frustration for new careers.
In MyTEAM, card collectors get a handy quality-of-life win. Duplicate unauctionable cards can now move to Auctions if you already own an auctionable version. That change frees space and adds flexibility. Managing extras and building lineups should feel faster.
Gameplay balance has not changed yet, because 2K says it is tracking matches across all skill levels. Expect tuning once more data arrives. The team also thanked players for quick feedback and clear reports.
With Season 2 approaching, Patch 1.1 sets the stage for a more stable NBA 2K26. It is a solid step forward and a signal of bigger changes to come. We’ll track the next update and share the details when it lands.
