What’s New: Quality-of-Life Upgrades

  • Steam users get a smoother path to enable cross-play.
  • Character icons in the HUD and map have been refined.
  • “Explore” and “Go to Entry” prompts have been removed where they didn’t work.

Stability & Performance Improvements

Obsidian reports serious strides in performance, estimating overall game stability has improved by 40% to 60% compared to the previous patch. These updates may not fix every performance issue immediately, but internal optimizations are underway for the long haul.

Bug Fix Highlights

  • The ORC Bee near the blueberry bush now appears in the correct spot and is hittable.
  • ORC creatures now correctly return to their positions, though you may need to revisit your last death spot to trigger their return.
  • Shared Worlds are more stable meaning no crashing after prolonged gameplay, and save files no longer disappear.
  • Opening Photo Mode no longer breaks client functionality in multiplayer.
  • Other fixes resolve sticky save/load combos, prevent players from falling through the map, and patch a range of visual and progression blockers.

With this patch, Grounded 2 feels more stable, playable, and player-friendly, thanks largely to community feedback.
