Grounded 2 features a wide variety of crafting materials, and Thistle Needle is one that can be surprisingly tricky to locate if you don’t know where to look. Essential for early-game and defensive builds, it’s used to craft arrows, spike traps, and other gear that keeps you alive. Without it, you’ll struggle to defend your base or hunt effectively. Whether you’re fending off insects or preparing for a raid, you’ll need a steady supply. Here’s where to find Thistle Needle in Grounded 2 so you can gear up, craft freely, and stay ahead of the threats in Hollowbrook Park.
How to Get Thistle Needles in Grounded 2
You can find Thistle Needle in Grounded 2 from Thistle Plants found at the Entrance Zone. To locate it easily, head to the areas marked on the map above and keep an eye out for the thistle plant which have colorful flowers (usually purple and yellow). I’ve found that climbing to a high vantage point before entering the zone helps—it’s much easier to spot the bright flowers from above than when you’re on the ground surrounded by tall foliage.
Once you reach one of the flowers, know that you can climb up the leaves to access higher parts of the plant, which lets you harvest a large number of Thistle Needles in one go. I was able to collect multiple stacks this way, which came in handy for crafting a massive amount of arrows and spike traps, which are needed to complete a quest to progress the game.
