The Dead by Daylight Halloween Event 2025—aka Haunted by Daylight 2025—returns October 14 and runs through November 4. This marks the event’s fourth iteration, bringing fresh mechanics, seasonal cosmetics, and spooky gameplay tweaks. Players will once again juggle challenges, currency, and unique items to maximize their rewards. Below is your streamlined guide to everything new and returning in the 2025 Halloween festivities.

Event Basics & Currency

The core loop remains similar to past years: complete Challenges, level your Tome, and earn event rewards. But this year features meaningful tweaks to the Void system.

Dark Trinkets return as the event’s currency. You gain them by finishing Challenges and Tome levels, then spend them in the event shop for cosmetics. Also, everyone receives 100 Dark Trinkets automatically upon first login during the event period.

Void Crystal Generator Attachment & Haunts

You can now attach a Void Crystal to a generator. That generator then auto‑repairs at 0.8 charges/sec for 30 seconds and cannot be touched by survivors while active.

Haunts spawn again in the Void realm. Three haunts appear per trial and will attack survivors within 5 meters, applying 12% hindered for 7 seconds. After attacking, they enter a 60-second cooldown.
Additionally, Haunts obtained via the Void Well grant a 30% boost to break‑action speed when they strike.

Event Add-Ons and Items

Several Halloween‑only add-ons and offerings return as legacy content. These include Blight Serum (grants tokens or gives Blighted Rush), Broken Bulb (flashlight flicker effects + blind bonuses), Refined Serum (boost movement when healing), and Arcane Dousing Rod (bonus Bloodpoints, directional cues for rifts). While these are no longer obtainable via the Bloodweb, any stockpiled copies may still function in trials.

All Hallows’ Eve Lunchbox

• A special med‑kit item with 24 charges.
• Boosts altruistic healing speed by +40%, unlocks self‑heal (but at –33% speed), and lowers item and personal heal efficiency (–33%).
• Visible to others (you glow), making you more noticeable.
• Only usable during Halloween Events; removed from the Bloodweb.

Will O’ Wisp

• A themed flashlight with an orange tint and ghost effect.
• Can be switched on for up to 8 seconds.
• Adds ghostly visual flair.
• Halloween event exclusive; also removed from the Bloodweb.

Void Crystal (New Mechanic)

• A single‑use limited item. When placed at your feet, it shatters into smoke, granting full invisibility and suppressing scratch marks while inside.
• Even after exit, the invisibility effect lingers briefly.
• To retrieve it, deposit 50 Void Energy at the Void Well.
• Cannot be carried into the Campfire or kept beyond the trial; The Entity removes it on exit.

Special Quests & Community Activities

During DbD Day (October 2–18), expect:

• Community & personal quests (e.g. play 20 matches, complete event quests)
• Weekly objectives like breaking pallets, chasing, repairing gens, etc.
• Rewards include banners, badges, and Bloodpoints.
  Also expect the Chaos Shuffle to allow randomized survivor items, and new portrait releases for Dracula’s True Form and Oni’s Murderous Grizzly.

Weekly Quests & Other Features

Haunted by Daylight 2025 features weekly quest objectives that reward 10,000 Bloodpoints and 50 Rift Fragments each. Here’s a breakdown of what to expect:

Week 1 Objectives

• Complete 10 Trials
• Break 50 pallets or drop 10 pallets while in chase
• Chase Survivors for 1000 seconds or be chased for 250 seconds
• Carry Survivors for 180 meters or escape 5 chases

Week 2 Objectives

• Scare 25 crows
• Damage 15 generators or hit 20 generator skill checks
• Hit Survivors 100 times or heal 10 health states
• Hook 20 Survivors or unhook 10

Bonus Notes

• The Chaos Shuffle will now allow randomized Survivor items for added variety.
• New 2v8 portraits will debut for Dracula’s True Form and Oni’s Murderous Grizzly outfits—perfect for collectors and lore enthusiasts alike.

Event Rewards, Tome & Cosmetics

• New skeletal variants of Survivor T‑shirts and candied weapons for Killers are available.
• You can also earn 3 badges, 3 banners, and 1 charm.

• Daily login rewards may award Bloodpoints, Iridescent Shards, Rift Fragments, or Dark Trinkets.
