Fallout Season 2 Episode 4 Recap
Episode 4 opens with a war-era flashback where Cooper Howard gets pinned down in Alaska, only for a terrifying creature to tear through the attackers and leave him alive just long enough to realize what he almost faced. Back in 2296, Lucy recovers at an NCR camp and leaves with weapons, but the meds that helped her heal start to change her. As she and the Ghoul push toward New Vegas, her reliance on chems grows, and the Ghoul leans into it, using the boost to get them through danger at the Strip’s gate.
Inside the vault storyline, Norm digs into secrets surrounding a Vault-Tec figure who knows more than he admits. A broken water chip triggers shortages in Vault 33, and Betty’s talks with Steph lead to a bigger shock about Vault 31. Meanwhile, Chet uncovers a suspicious piece of Steph’s past that makes everything feel even less normal.
On the Brotherhood side, Maximus scrambles to cover up what happened with Xander and tries to use the chaos to take a shot at Quintus, but it backfires fast. When the cold fusion relic gets stolen, paranoia explodes into open violence between Brotherhood groups. Maximus and Thaddeus end up fleeing into the desert with the relic as the whole situation spirals out of control. The episode closes with Lucy and the Ghoul reaching an abandoned, irradiated New Vegas Strip, where a massive new threat makes itself known.
