Hell Clock 1.0.2 Update

Campaign rework, vertical endgame, and smarter save files headline a community-driven update.

The Hell Clock 1.0.2 update marks the game’s two-week launch anniversary with a major update driven directly by community feedback. This update delivers a fully overhauled campaign experience and introduces a new endgame layer designed to push your build to the edge. We’ve gone through the patch notes so you don’t have to. Here’s a breakdown of everything that’s new.

The standout addition is the new “Regular” campaign difficulty, which is a rebalanced and refined progression path created from two weeks of community feedback. This version smooths out pacing, adjusts combat difficulty, and offers a more approachable intro to Hell Clock’s chaotic world. To try it, you’ll need to start a fresh save file; existing ones are now flagged as “Veteran.”

Post-campaign, the game expands vertically with the new “Abyss & Oblivion” system. Instead of resetting via Ascension, players can now carry their builds forward and chase high-tier loot, including the newly added Tier 7 and 8 gear and Tier 4 Relics. Abyss is built for most players to handle, but Oblivion promises a real endgame gauntlet.

Ascension isn’t gone, it’s now a standalone mode unlocked after one full campaign clear. Saves are separated to prevent loss of progression, and the main menu has been updated to support six save files and easier difficulty switching.

There’s also quality-of-life love here: HUD improvements for streamers, new explanations for Blessing synergies, a full constellation respec option, and clearer world tier info.

Balance changes hit everything from elite density and summon cooldowns to the overperforming Oxum constellation. The Memory Level system has been rebalanced with a new level cap of 120, and gear drop issues in later acts have been squashed.

Looking ahead, the devs are focusing on performance and UI enhancements, with the next major update, Clockmaker’s Tools, slated for September 29. Expect better loadouts, gear stash options, and a deeper item filter system soon.

The Hell Clock 1.0.2 update proves the Hell Clock team isn’t just listening, they’re moving fast. With a smoother campaign, a more rewarding endgame, and key quality-of-life improvements on the way, now’s the perfect time to jump back in, or experience the chaos for the first time.
