Fallout 76 Patch Notes 1.7.21.8

We’ve summarize the most important aspects of the changes in Patch 1.7.21.8, but here’s the official Fallout 76 patch notes by Bethesda that you can read for more details.

C.A.M.P. Enhancements

Players building bases will notice a significant drop in material costs, such as the Fire Watch Tower now only requiring 5 wood instead of 25. Multiple C.A.M.P. assets have received visual fixes and cost adjustments, while others, like the Tool Shed and Caged Owl, now behave correctly when placed or destroyed. Notably, the build limit for several flag variants has increased from 3 to 25, ideal for patriotic decorators.

Combat and Weapons Fixes

Combat saw a round of clean-up, including sound effect corrections for weapons like the Assaultron Head and Chainsaw, along with a fix for disappearing enemy corpses that made looting frustrating. Ghouls also got some love: they’ll no longer suffer from disease or bugged damage effects, and their headgear should look a bit more natural now.

Fishing and Outfits

Fishing has become a smoother experience with bug fixes that improve rain-based challenges and display alignment. Players who dress to impress will also appreciate the tweaks to masks, bandanas, and the snorkel mask, which now offers protection from airborne threats.

UI and Quality-of-Life Fixes

The update irons out UI overlaps and visual oddities across menus. Ghoul perk cards now visually match their theme, and previously misnamed Atomic Shop items now display correctly. The Vault Boy animation for Gun Runner has also been polished.

Odds and Ends

Bethesda addressed a slew of small but annoying issues ranging from strange camera angles on stools to players being overcharged when respawning while over encumbered. Even Mr. Fuzzy got a name correction for his Antennae Ball Backpack Flair.
