When you’re not surviving—or slaying—in the Fog, one of the most fun parts of Dead by Daylight is unlocking charms to customize your favorite characters. One unique charm, the Vic Viper, can be unlocked by entering the iconic Konami Code using a hidden method. Here’s how to unlock the Vic Viper charm in Dead by Daylight and add it to your Gradius Memento collection.

Here’s How to Unlock the Vic Viper Charm in Dead by Daylight

Before you begin, it’s important to note that you must own both Cheryl Mason and The Executioner—characters from Chapter 16: Silent Hill—in Dead by Daylight to unlock the Vic Viper charm.

Here’s how to unlock the Vic Viper Charm in Dead by Daylight:

1. Equip either Cheryl Mason or The Executioner
   • Click the Play button in the Main Menu screen
   • Select either Killer or Survivor
   • Equip Cheryal or The Exectioner
2. Back out to the Main Menu screen
   • You’ll see either Cheryl sitting at the campfire or The Executioner in the foreground of your screen (above picture).
3. Quickly enter the Konami code using your specific platform:
   • PC: W, W, S, S, A, D, A, D, RMB, LMB, Enter
   • PlayStation: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, O, X, Options
   • Xbox: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Start
   • Switch: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, +
4. If done correctly, a 16-bit version of the Dead by Daylight menu music will briefly play
   • Note: No onscreen notifications will appear like when Redeeming a Code in Dead by Daylight from the store page.
5. Check the Customizations tab of any of your killer or survivors to verify if the Vic Viper charm has been added.

If entering the Konami Code at the main menu doesn’t work, don’t worry—some players have found success using a different method. Here’s what to do instead:

1. Equip either Cheryl or The Executioner
2. Back out to the Main Menu screen
3. Pres the Play button
4. Press the Killer button
5. Quickly enter the Konami code while the game loads into the Killer selection screen.
