By Episode 3, The Traitors Season 4 stops easing anyone into the game. Episode 2’s roundtable already proved how quickly suspicion can snowball. Then the show piles on a new wrinkle that forces the Traitors to take a bigger risk than usual. Instead of a quiet, off-screen murder, they get a challenge that plays out right in front of everyone. And that twist changes everything, because “murdering in plain sight” is not just about picking a target. It’s about timing, nerves, and leaving zero trace while a room full of paranoid players watches your every move.
Who was Murdered in Episode 3 of The Traitors Season 4?

Rob Cesternino was murdered in The Traitors Season 4 Episode 3.
After the Episode 2 roundtable, the Secret Traitor created another shortlist of possible murder targets. From there, the Traitors received a new assignment: they had to murder someone in the most dangerous way possible.
Instead of meeting privately and choosing a name the usual way, the Traitors had to burn a Faithful’s card in the fireplace inside the breakfast room. If they pulled it off without getting caught, they earned the reward of meeting the Secret Traitor face-to-face.
That’s a massive incentive, but it also creates a nightmare scenario for the Traitors. They have to act while everyone is present, all while looking normal and not drawing attention.
Who Had Shields in Episode 3?
Not everyone was eligible to be murdered.
Three players were protected by shields:
- Caroline
- Colton
- Yam Yam
With those shields in play, the Traitors had fewer options and less room to improvise.
Who was on the Shortlist?
The shortlist for the Episode 3 murder came down to four names:
- Kristen
- Monét
- Rob C.
- Tara
From that group, the Traitors ultimately chose Rob C.
Why Rob C. Makes Sense as a Target
Rob Cesternino is the kind of player who can quietly run the board if he gets traction. He’s strategic, observant, and experienced in social games. Even if he does not lead the loudest conversations, he can connect dots quickly and pull others into his thinking. That makes him dangerous to keep around once the game starts tightening up. The Traitors made a great choice when he called out conga line as a distraction for the Traitors to perform a murder in plain sight.
Who Will Be Murdered Next?
Episode 3’s “murder in plain sight” twist raises the tension level for everyone, especially the Traitors. Now the big question is whether the Faithful can spot the slip that comes with taking a risk like that, or if the Traitors just bought themselves even more power going forward.
